The Corporate Strategy team at Bose works on some of the company’s most important business and growth initiatives. We work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across the company to analyze market opportunities, create winning strategies, and inform important decisions with insightful, data-driven recommendations based on a deep knowledge of the business, customers, and external market factors.
Job Description
The VP, Bose Audio Technology will provide leadership to our Bose Audio Technology (BAT) Product group, which is responsible for developing the product and technology strategy for this business at a platform and market level. This will include strategy development, roadmap planning, investment case creation and all elements of product management that follow from Gate 0 through market launch. This group will drive our growth into the hearing, industrial, AR/VR, and any other adjacent markets that the strategy work uncovers as a target. This group will also help to partner with our engineering group to establish and develop the associated platforms required to access these markets.
This role will also provide leadership to our BAT Commercial Organization that has sales and business development responsibility across the BAT markets, Client Success and partnership management for established or launched clients (e.g. HearX and Sagemcom). This group is responsible for both in year revenue along with bookings or new sales for future year revenue as well.
This role will also provide leadership to our Bose Partnership Organizations that is tasked with developing and managing major partnerships for the company like Qualcomm, Google, Amazon, DSP-Concepts, Bragi, Meta, Motorola, etc. We will look to this leader to help establish annual, and multi-year objectives in partnership with the leader of the consumer audio and automotive businesses and revenue plans. Additionally, this leader will need to work with the Engineering and Product organizations to help bring partners to solve technology challenges.

Required Skills/experience
- Experience building licensing businesses with our core models: Dolby, Xperi, Interdigital, and Qualcomm coupled with ability to lead in the divide that is created by fast moving start-up with well established at scale product company.
- Experience in building a licensing business from ground up is preferred.
- The ability to effectively manage and lead a cross-functional, largely remote team with a very diverse set of incentives and priorities. Someone who can take the collection of individuals – and individual strengths that exist on the team today and merge them into a highly-functioning team with a clear and aligned set of priorities (this gets back to role clarity and org design).
- Significant experience working across functions in a matrixed organization, with demonstrated success in bringing together competing interests through strong influence skills.
- The ability to deeply understand our technology and the technology of our key partners.
