Oscar Energy is working on behalf of a company that is a leading energy storage developer with a focus on utility-scale solar + storage and standalone storage with over 10+ GWs of the project pipeline. They have one of the most accomplished leadership teams in the renewables space and are well-backed by one of the largest private equity funds globally (1 Trillion$ AUM). The position will be responsible for executing contracts, negotiation, and structuring. The office is based in California (West Coast).

This role reports to the CCO and will lead to regional origination within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and strengthen relationships with both new and existing customers, including utilities, other load-serving entities, and commercial & industrial clients.
• Identify and assess opportunities such as requests for bids (RFP/RFI) and direct customer targets; develop proposals and create marketing materials.
• Create innovative power sales structures to meet market demands.
• Identify new potential clients and implement effective sales strategies to engage them.
• Establish and maintain strong customer and business relationships.
• Gather and provide market intelligence to the client development and management team to support the broader business development group.
• Contribute to the development of the company's business plan and overall strategy.
• Collaborate with regulatory and policy experts to monitor and incorporate policy and power market changes into the company's strategy.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in energy originating, structuring, negotiating, and executing contracts in a power marketing role in the renewable sector with a focus on storage;

• Proven relationships and track record of sales within WECC, ERCOT, CAISO or MISO;

• Established relationships with buyers such as utilities or C&I customers;

• Strong working knowledge of US power markets; to include ISO, RTO, and bilateral energy markets.
