VP of Marketing, Tasty Bite

Overview
Tasty Bite is seeking an experienced end to end marketing leader to help propel this exciting brand’s next stage of growth as we rapidly grow and scale up beyond $100M revenue. The VP of Marketing will lead all aspects of marketing including brand management, shopper marketing, consumer insight, digital commerce, innovation, retailer co-creation, brand and product positioning, and marketing strategy. This individual will be a key player on the management team driving a step change in Indian category household penetration and driving Tasty Bite trial to enable Tasty Bite’s scale up acceleration. They will lead the marketing organization and drive thought leadership across the entire company. The VP of Mktg should be a key champion of the consumer and help translate consumer insights into action to drive growth. They should enjoy working closely with senior peers on the leadership team and be willing to be hands on with associates across all functions of the company to bring plans to life.
The ideal candidate is a transformational leader who desires to feel empowered and have broad decision rights with associated accountability for their scope. The successful candidate should have strong people leadership and collaborative skills that can bring to life Tasty Bite’s “Special Sauce Culture” and set the right vision for our Associates and product portfolio. They should have experience across brand management, innovation, and shopper marketing with demonstrated success across multiple businesses/categories. The candidate should be a results oriented strategic leader who can collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Ideal experience includes both a strong foundational blue chip CPG experience balanced with a more recent entrepreneurial role.
This player should embody the Tasty Bite Special Sauce culture and entrepreneurial spirit. They must be able to engage in both strategic and tactical work across the organization with a possibility mindset and willingness to roll up their sleeves.

Responsibilities:
BUSINESS LEADERSHIP:
- Lead Tasty Bite growth objectives as measured by: net sales, category and penetration growth, market share, operating profit, and ROI on marketing investments.
- Be a key player on Tasty Bite Leadership Team bringing an enterprise lens to deliver to deliver objectives.
- Lead development of a robust 3 year value creation roadmap with a clear portfolio strategy, brand building brand communication, digital transformation, and innovation pipeline.
- Develop the value creation strategy and go to market plans for the enterprise, while translating consumer & customer insights into brand/portfolio building ideas and activities.
- Develop a high performance marketing organization and ensure we have the relevant current and future capabilities.
- Create a winning environment and culture through open communication, great leadership and progressive associate development.
- Ensure that the Tasty Bite Special Sauce key behaviors are integrated in everything that we do
- Role model collaboration with Tasty Bite Leadership Team, R&D, and role model partnership with Sales, demonstrating best in class model for growth acceleration.
- Deliver robust 3-year innovation pipeline and innovation platforms in partnership with the R&D/innovation team as measured by 3 year pipeline sufficiency. Lead S&OP+ Portfolio Management Review
- Drive analytical capability across the organization using analytics to guide data-based enterprise decisions.
- Unlock eCommerce growth via convergence of marketing, digital media, shopper marketing, and e-commerce to make Tasty Bite a leader in the category.
- Partner with agencies to deploy best in class plans to drive trial and reach new consumers.
- Lead team to deliver marketing and media plan development and implementation through agency partners to deploy best in class plans to accelerate growth of Indian category and Tasty Bite
- Build market activation expertise across trial and conversion, demand generation, innovation, and key activations
- Define growth strategy and associated plans to double the brand in the next 5 years.
- Drive increase in brand support by partnering with key retailers to create dedicated shopper and omnichannel programs through the shopper/digital marketing team and customer teams.
- Serve as a brand steward to ensure the marketing strategy and positioning is accurately represented in all consumer facing activities.
- Minimum of 10 years of marketing and brand management experience, including entrepreneurial experience ideally with successful food brands
- Lead 4 direct reports and a team of 6+ associates
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work across functions and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

- Aptitude for innovative thinking & willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Experience with P&L management and understands financial metrics.
