Job Description

Savage X Fenty is looking for an Assistant Graphic & Textile Designer (Apparel).

The Assistant Graphic & Textile Designer will be responsible for assisting the in the execution of print, graphic design, and hardware development. The ideal candidate should be able to clearly communicate creative ideas, collaborate with fellow designers and be eager to learn about the production process for the various moving parts involved in the design process. This person should also be able to implement organizational solutions that are timely and effective.

This position will be responsible for assisting the department with the execution of creative projects. This candidate will be supporting Graphic Design org with files and project management and should be able to simultaneously offer creative yet organized solutions to manage and support the design team in many different initiatives at once.

This position will report to Senior Graphic Designer, and is based in El Segundo, California.

What You Will Do

• Design graphic artworks, logo waistbands, and prints
• Create precise flat sketches indicating measurements of hardware and other developments
• Stay abreast of trends, new techniques, and resources in print and graphics
• Create layouts for artwork and logo placements
• Develop and maintain Ai and PDF versions of digital color and pattern archives by season
• Organize existing projects and be responsible for administrative design tasks, including managing seasonal palettes and working inside of a PLM system
• Create basic tech packs for new artwork and print development
• Communicate regularly with Design & Product Development teams to help problem-solve where necessary
• Follow up and coordinate all ongoing projects in order to meet stated deadlines and track artwork throughout the entire design process
• Take initiative to streamline and innovate processes to help make workflow more efficient

What You Can Bring

• At least one year of graphic and print design experience
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• The ability to create vector-based and hand-drawn artworks and recolor prints
• An understanding of foundational graphic design principles such as typography and composition
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
• You are solutions driven and an efficiency advocate as well as having an all-hands on deck mentality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented and organized

The hourly range for this position is from $26.87-33.65. The range provided includes the base salary that Savage X Fenty expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
