Job Summary

The IT System Administrator position will be part of a dynamic and multifunctional Information Technology team that supports Arizona Cardinals staff at the Tempe facilities and support live events at State Farm Stadium.

This position will support all equipment and employees working at sites in Tempe, Glendale, the State Farm Stadium, Heritage at Sportsman’s Park, and other locations as required. The main responsibilities for this position include systems management, access, and high-level technical tasks including supporting escalations from our technical team.

This position will support day to day IT enterprise systems in addition to live events (Cardinal’s football games, concerts, activities, and events) at all sites. This role will be involved with many aspects of systems used by all staff and others if needed, potentially requiring 7 days a week and night schedules. Other responsibilities include event support, game day duties at games, training camp and extended trips.

Primary Job Duties

The IT System Administrator will have the daily responsibilities including, without limitation, to the following:

  • Manage all IT requests for the Arizona Cardinals, Craft Culinary, Insignia, and stadium partners AZSTA, AZM, while providing excellent customer support.
  • Possess a high understanding of patch management protocols and processes.
  • Administer communication with third-party vendors for technical projects, tasks, and escalations.
  • Experience in provisioning accounts, applying best practices for broad-scale systems including but not limited to Salesforce, Azure tools, Active Directory, CrowdStrike, Arctic wolf, SolarWinds, etc.
  • Strong understanding of permissions-based access and risk mitigation.
  • Automate new hire on-boarding and off-boarding procedures.
  • Administer our business applications including, but not limited to: Azure, Office 365, G Suite, Adobe, AWS, Active Directory, JAMF, Intune, Cisco UC, Crowdstrike, and other cybersecurity related applications.
  • Understanding of DNS, domain controllers, and related troubleshooting.
  • Ability to learn new software and solutions quickly.
  • Provide end-user support for both PC and Mac computers.
  • Proactively monitor and secure the Cardinals systems and network.
  • Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedure.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and manage large IT-related projects.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant system administration work experience.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment; handle multiple tasks with the ability to reprioritize and shift priorities quickly.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Intune/autopilot experience a plus, MCSA certification a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge with strong understanding of network fundamentals including firewall, switch, DMZ, WAN, LAN, VPN, MPLS, CCNP/CCIE certifications a plus.
  • Working knowledge with Amazon Web Services, Azure, Azure AD, and other cloud services.
  • Experience with scripting, programming, and automation tools.
  • Extensive knowledge with Apple devices, prior JAMF experience a plus.
  • Experience with implementing security solutions for protection of the network and endpoint devices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner.
  • A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first.
  • Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator.
  • Ability to create documentation, change management protocols, generate reports, and present them to leadership.
  • Strong troubleshooting techniques to quickly diagnose and resolve computing issues.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • Frequent bending, lifting 50 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
