Junior Financial Analyst
About the Company: Our client, a leading manufacturing and distribution company in Kansas City, is seeking a highly motivated Junior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team. This company is known for its strong market presence and commitment to innovation and excellence.
Job Description: As a Junior Financial Analyst specializing in brand evaluation from a finance perspective, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) team. Your primary focus will be on analyzing product performance and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making in the manufacturing and distribution sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Performance Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis of brand performance, including sales trends, profitability, and market share.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Gather and analyze data from various sources to prepare comprehensive reports on product performance.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in the development of financial forecasts and budgets related to brand performance.
- Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and projected financial performance.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to understand industry trends and their impact on product performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to gather relevant data and insights.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support brand analysis and strategic planning.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the manufacturing or distribution industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
