Overview

As a Layout Designer you will be part of a uniquely collaborative, multi-discipline engineering community working across our domestic design centers creating cutting edge products for global markets. In this role you will be working with multiple teams located in different design centers. Your designs will be integrated into our cutting-edge front-end solutions to be used in millions of wireless devices around the world.

Job Responsibilities

• Candidate will be responsible for the layout of complex multi-chip laminate substrates and RF test boards in a fast-paced commercial team environment, following company DFM/DFA and industry standards
• Provide layout and design verification of complex RF test boards to test individual HBT, Filter, SOI and CMOS integrated circuits
• Interface with vendors, create manufacturing documentation, load project data into the document control system and contribute to design reviews
  
  

Required Experience/Skills

• 4+ years of experience with APD/Allegro design software or industry equivalent
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience creating, using and understanding assembly documentation and fabrication deliverables per detailed company and industry standards
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong aptitude with computers, strong ability to learn on the job
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Documentation Control systems such as SAP or Agile
  
  

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Associate’s Degree in electronics is desirable
• RF component knowledge
• Experience using a schematic/netlist driven CAD layout process, including use of LVS verification is a plus. Knowledge of Agilent ADS is highly desirable
• Experience with Cliosoft SOS revision control or equivalent
• Knowledge in different types of surface-mounted package
• Prototyping and assembly experience
• EM simulation knowledge
  
  

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $32.69 - $57.16 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
