Sprout Social is looking to hire a Social Media Specialist to the Marketing team.

What You’ll Do

Content Creation and Distribution:

  • Curate, create, and schedule editorial static and dynamic content across various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Youtube) and maintain a dynamic social content calendar.
  • Develop and produce video content specifically tailored for prospective audiences, encompassing concepting, scripting, production, and curation.
  • Coordinate our social content pipeline from intake to execution and work closely with creators, internal and stakeholders to do so.

Engagement and Community:

  • Support social media community management, delivering 1:1 consumer response that builds brand affinity and drive engagement for the Sprout Social channels
  • Proactively engage with industry partners to extend our reach and cultivate valuable partnerships.
  • Craft and execute innovative social media copy and timely creative elements that elevate brand awareness and engagement.

Strategy and Ideation:

  • Seek opportunities to drive audiences toward the conversion phase through strategic social media initiatives.
  • Support international and regional marketing goals by ideating impactful content strategies and approaches, positioning Sprout as sophisticated and at the forefront of our ideal customer profile.

Analytics and Optimization:

  • Analyze social media metrics with a creative perspective, utilizing optimization techniques and social media search strategies to improve performance and recommend best practices and formats.
  • Leverage social listening tools like Sprout Social and other methods to gather insights and data to drive our content, ensuring relevance and resonance with the market.

What You’ll Bring

Sprout Social’s Social Media Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our social media strategies, focusing on audience growth and increasing brand recognition in the dynamic marketing landscape. Collaborate closely within the marketing team and across the organization to ensure our social media efforts are aligned with our overall marketing and business goals.

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • 2-4+ years of experience utilizing best practices in social media marketing including an exceptionally strong understanding of social platforms, trends, and proficiency in using Sprout Social (or similar social tools) and analytics platforms.
    • 1+ years of experience in social inbox triage and community management best practices
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience executing successful engagement and awareness campaigns.
  • 1+ years of proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Previous experience working in the software/SaaS industry
  • Working directly with customers or external partners on content
  • Previous experience using Sprout Social

How You’ll Grow

Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:

  • Familiarize yourself with Sprout's existing and expanding audiences, brand voice, and communication style.
  • Initiate proactive and reactive engagement with our social audience, collaborating within and outside the team.
  • Start creating and distributing impactful content to resonate with our target audience.
    • Social content scheduling: Organizing content calendar inputs, tag audits, and publishing
  • Learn how customer care works at Sprout and get trained on social engagement
  • Canva creation, video editing, captioning

Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:

  • Develop original social strategies aligned with our brand voice and tone.
  • Drive efficiencies in content creation by leveraging various formats and techniques.
  • Utilize reporting metrics and analytics tools to analyze social content and identify optimization opportunities.

Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:

  • Drive growth in Sprout’s social media channels, engaging key personas across multiple audiences, including customers, prospects, investors, and potential employees.
  • Collaborate on brainstorms to identify new opportunities and expand Sprout's reach, tailoring content for optimal customer experience and business goals.
  • Ensure content relevance for our target audience through data-driven iteration of creation, curation, and engagement strategies.
  • Identify key industry, competitive, and customer insights and propose actionable strategies for marketing opportunities and beyond.

Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:

  • Ideate and execute social campaigns and content formats showcasing Sprout as the market and thought leader in the SaaS industry.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop programs fostering social-first engagement throughout the customer journey, such as webinars, demos, and events.
  • Share clear takeaways, feedback, and concise social analysis to support decisions and showcase the impact of initiatives on overall goals, encompassing revenue, customer, and product marketing.
  • Provide expertise related to social both internally and externally, representing the social team autonomously and articulating how social supports the needs of the business.
  • Innovate and introduce unique ideas to positively transform our team and marketing efforts in unconsidered yet beneficial ways.

Whenever possible, Sprout wants to provide our team with the flexibility to work in the location that makes the most sense for them. Sprout maintains a remote workforce in many places in the United States. However, we are not set up in all states, so please look at the drop-down box in our application to see whether your state is listed. Few roles require an office setting. If your position requires a physical presence in a Sprout office, it will be evident in the job listing and your offer letter.

The base pay range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 USD annually. Individual base pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In addition to base pay, some Sales and Success roles can earn sales incentives.

Sprout’s compensation ranges are intentionally broad to allow for our team members' growth within their role. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.

Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout’s equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit). Employees are able to enroll in Sprout’s company’s 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers “Flexible Paid Time Off” and ten paid holidays.
