Job Title: Sr. Product Owner, Search and Match

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Job Duties

Liaise with Field Nation leadership to develop a vision, and actionable roadmap, and translate business asks into product requirement documents. Articulate and lead the spectrum of Field Nation products, services, and solutions to onboard new users, partners, and clients to the platform. Grow Field Nation's offerings portfolio. Review the latest technologies by considering various factors like cost, profitability, and usability of the software and make decisions on what to use for developing new products. Ensure product requirements, stories, and/or epics clearly communicate customer and stakeholder needs. Create and maintain product lifecycle documents/deliverables (vision documents, product requirement documents, business requirement documents, specifications, architecture, flow diagrams, and training materials). Collaborate with software development and technical teams to define functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications design that meets the business requirements and user experience specifications. Evaluate the feasibility, business value, and alignment with strategic goals. Develop the requirements, stories, or epics in a clear and structured format providing sufficient details to ensure effective communication and development. Validate the requirements with the stakeholders through review sessions, prototypes, or user acceptance testing. Provide alternative solutions, including vendor solution acquisitions, with maximum benefits while reducing cost (e.g., cost-benefit analysis, pros/cons of solutions). Identify gaps and help architect solutions to address current and future user needs in the marketplace space. Define key initiatives for your product focus area that align with product strategy and company goals. Plan, organize, and control the delivery of business and system requirements, including optimal resource utilization guidance for delivering the scope and business requirements. Collaborate with end users/ partners, to elicit, elaborate, analyze, and articulate business capabilities, software requirements, and business value associated with them. Establish KPIs, Dashboards, measurement tactics, and reporting processes working with stakeholders across teams, proactively monitoring Developmental/ Operational/ Financial product development and performance using tools such as Looker, Amplitude, Google Analytics. Organize, plan, and maintain a delivery roadmap consisting of cross-functional activities/ features/projects. Direct corrective action as needed to maintain the viability of the program, report to the executive team/sponsor on the progress, business impacts, and strategies around feature development. Engage teams in exploring and validating alternative solutions, conducting proof of concept, and bringing maximum benefits while reducing cost. Assure compliance to require standards and all necessary approvals have been obtained throughout the project lifecycle. Perform market research, develop business cases and prioritize product initiatives through discovery and market validation. Lead planning and decision meetings with internal and external stakeholders including end users, business executives, directors, application developers, marketing to identify user needs and develop strategic initiatives for these needs. Lead RCA (Root Cause analysis) and Causal Analysis of Defects, Analysis of System Change Request, Risk and Impact Analysis discussions. Travel once each quarter to headquarters in Minneapolis. Remote work permitted in the following states: Minnesota, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Wirginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of experience as product manager, or technical product manager working on building cloud software products.

  • Specific skills and other requirements:

Must Possess 5 Years Of Experience With

  • planning and managing data infrastructure, APIs, and Products
  • market research and user analysis to identify product opportunities
  • managing product launches and go-to-market strategies
  • building, tracking, and analyzing KPIs, Dashboards, reports, and metrics
  • developing and managing product roadmaps and timelines, incorporating best project management practices

Must Possess 3 Years Of Experience With

  • managing and working directly with engineering teams to develop search and matching product features
  • identifying business opportunities and leading product development, in areas where Machine Learning can add significant value
  • designing and implementing feature engineering strategies to extract relevant features from data sources, including writing efficient SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data

Must possess Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) and Project Management Professional (PMP) product management certification.

Travel 4 x per year to headquarters

Travel once each quarter to headquarters in Minneapolis.
