- Carbon dioxide levels are the highest in human history. If I were to show it using sand, this is where we were in pre-industrial times, and this is where we are today. At this rate, we have less than 10 years before experiencing the even greater catastrophic effects of climate change. I'm not here to scare you. I'm actually here to do the opposite, inspire you into action. Let's flip this analogy. This glass now represents climate jobs. Practically nothing was considered a climate job in pre-industrial times. We have around five million today, and we're expected to see around 100 million climate jobs in the coming decade.
