Thank You Technology and IT Folks

There are lot things to be grateful about while working from home. Out of many, I would like to draw attention to a very common thing we might ignore - Office Laptop. And related IT Infrastructure.

Thanks to the laptop manufacturer – for making light, easy to carry and easy to use device. You saved our efforts and home space by replacing that bulky monitor, CPU and UPS.

Thanks to the network provider – for keeping us connected. You help us fulfil our basic personal and professional need – being social.

Thanks to the IT team - for laptop configuration as per our requirement and role and for always being available whenever we are stuck. You are the silent warriors and we salute your support.

Thanks to the electricity provider – goes without saying – you are the live wire of everything.

Without all these above, we wouldn’t have been able to work at home, we wouldn’t have got our daily goals to achieve, we wouldn’t have got our financials in place and we wouldn’t have got motivation to do what we do.

Its important that we value things that we have and respect people who enable us directly or indirectly.

Let’s take care of our laptop - Switch it off every day. Clean it – outside and inside ( when needed ). And follow all IT related TIPs that IT sends. Believe me it really helps condition your laptop.

Say THANKS to your laptop – Literally!! I mean it. We must worship it like goddess “Lakshmi”. Getting? what I am trying to convey.

Let’s ensure to pay our bills on time – Like a responsible citizen let’s do that. These companies have warriors supporting us round the clock by going out in field risking their lives to keep power, network, broadband up and running.

Let’s respect people – colleagues, friends, speakers, our house help, all service providers for enabling us directly or indirectly to do our jobs comfortably at home.

Let’s respect data privacy – please do that. Its basic. Its important. Its ethical. Its our immediate responsibility to accept data privacy policy, if IT is asking you for this. Don’t delay.

While I would like to go on and on, but let me pause and conclude.

Working from home may or may not last forever, but we shouldn’t stop ourselves from being grateful to what we have and what we get from Technology and IT folks.

BIG RESPECT to you.
