Fantastic news for developers using GitHub Copilot and to the competitive space of frontier LLMs. Allowing model choice to developers is a key step forward for getting the most of GitHub Copilot as each model could deliver key strengths in different areas. Now it's time for Azure to move forward and enable Anthropic's and Google's models in the AI service as well for all Azure based services to have the same level of competitiveness.

Great news! GitHub now gives us a choice of AI model for coding. So if you like Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 3.5, Google's Gemini 1.5 Pro or OpenAI's o1-Preview, all should all be available to choose from depending on your preference and project. #github #copilot #anthoropic #sonnet #openai #o1 #google #generativeai #ai

Digital & App Innovation Sales Lead ✦ On the mission to enable organizations to maximize their full potential by going digital
Gone are the days when coding expertise was a prerequisite to bring your innovative ideas to life. GitHub Spark, an AI-native tool, revolutionizes app creation by allowing users to build and share micro web apps - called "sparks" - using just natural language. What does this mean? 🔸Accessibility: Even if you've never written a line of code, you can still build functional and creative web apps. 🔸Efficiency: Quickly prototype and develop your concepts without the traditional coding process. 🔸Creativity: Experiment and personalize apps tailored to your specific needs or interests. Ready to spark some innovation? Let's build the future together!

GitHub copilot will have mass update in the next week. The thing is - it will support Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet. And this model is much better for AL development, than openAI’s. No official stat, just my experience. I use it for the last months and it’s really good. #msdyn365bc #AL #copilot

Empowering developers with more AI models and choice 🚀 I have a real soft spot for Claude by Anthropic; it's a phenomenal assistant when coding (just like GPT-4o). We don't need to be divided by the models we use day-to-day. Rather, let's focus on using the right tool (or in this case, the right model) for the job. And thanks to GitHub, now we can do that natively in VS Code! #AI #Anthropic #Claude #GitHub #VSCode #Developers

The multi-model approach is far superior in my opinion. Once a user reaches the realization that different models will generate drastically different outputs based off the nuances of prompt engineering.
