Aiming to bolster its sustainability-focused programming and support an ecosystem of inventive, socially responsible fashion thinkers, Kent State University tapped Gensler and DS Architecture to lead a transformational renovation of its growing School of Fashion. Featuring classrooms, labs, faculty offices, and a library, the Kent State School of Fashion’s technology-rich learning environment allows for diverse experimentation. Students are empowered to explore interests in pattern development with 3D knit machines and the ability to test fabric flame spread, while other spaces can support potential multidisciplinary collaboration with architecture, science, and other departments across campus. 🪡 🧵 ✂️ 📍Kent, OH | ©Gensler, 📸 Gillian Fry #Education #FashionDesign #EducationDesign
