Looking at my junior version, I believe that my leverage are the innumerous corner cases that I had to deal with to make things happen. Reflecting on LLMs, I see them today as a junior engineer. They are good at making something to work fast with an average quality. But, for them to reach a great quality in an specific application, they still need guidance from wise people. Ever noticed your Mac's storage mysteriously disappearing? 🤔 Turns out, it's busy caching everything you do, munching on hundreds of gigs. And if you're using Docker locally, brace yourself ! After months of battling with my Mac's storage, seeing 150GB swallowed by System Storage, I had to turn to the internet - sorry ChatGPT, no help there! Eventually yesterday I dug deep into the file system, removing what made sense to me at some point but not anymore (the catch is not to remove something that does not make sense) - sounds like the right cache eviction policy in principle, right? 😅 Cache eviction isn't just a Mac thing; it's a common issue across tech stacks. In my engineering work, I'm cautious about relying too heavily on cache-driven solutions. Building cache is simple, but cache eviction and managing bugs is a different ball game. P.S.
