Have you faced the situation, when you moved to cloud, set up a compute instance with minimal resources to save money, tried to create your image from your docker-compose file and it took 3 hrs 47 min (13675 sec)? There are several better solutions, one of them is to use GitHub Actions with dockerhub. GitHub creates the same image in 8 mins and 14 sec... You can read more about it: https://lnkd.in/ezCjXUCK #docker #cli #cloud #github

#cloud #finops #aws #github #postgres At a glance, Ubicloud promises a cheap and simple cloud. Right now they provide GitHub Actions runners (ten times cheaper than Github itself), computing, and Postgres DB. The big question IMHO is how easy to integrate Ubicloud services with GitHub, AWS, and so on. Plus feature set - managed Postgres provides high-availability config, but not read slaves for example. Until Ubicloud provides more managed services, I don't see a real use case for them.

Hello everyone I've been getting hands-on with Terraform! If you're interested in creating a VPC with one public and one private subnet, along with an EC2 instance, check out my GitHub. .ssh key is one of the most important or say it's a factor without which there could be no communication between #git and GitHub or gitlab. 1. We generate.ssh key in our local system 2. There are two files, we only share pub which means public to gitlab or GitHub. 3. After this a communication has been started between our local system and cloud based GitHub. One important factor is that we can share same ssh key to our different accounts of #gitlab #github or #bitbucket

Help! Fix for Null Output Values in Terraform-Docs. We need help! We've been unable to reach the maintainers of terraform-docs. Cloud Posse has opened a pull request on GitHub for the terraform-docs project that addresses a critical issue where null output values cause a segmentation fault error. The proposed fix addresses valid Terraform configurations where output values may be explicitly or implicitly set to null. https://lnkd.in/g4AfnvEq

TBT to the time I started my journey into AWS using Serveless Framework to really easily deploy Lamdas. I really had a blast using this for so many POCs, including my own wedding RSVP system! And the following tutorial also added a GitHub Actions section, so cool! p.s. this is quite a comprehensive tutorial, with many moving parts, especially the integrations between the cloud services, could easily take a few hours to complete and *understand*. Don't be discouraged by it! https://lnkd.in/d-a-66t7

Should Taubyte have a CDK? I think it'll make it even more developer friendly. So I went through the exercise of how could that work across any taubyte-base cloud platform (remember Taubyte is a framework to build clouds) while keeping it true to #gitops and compatible with every other tools we built like tau-cli & web console (console.taubyte.com). This is what I came up with -> https://lnkd.in/gmiEU4w3 kudos to Nevo David for raising the question in the first place!
