If it was going to work If your current sponsorship strategy was going to work, it already would have worked. All your proposals would get “YES!” responses. Sponsors would respond to your sponsorship package and definitely not ignore it (they’ll probably respond to you any day now). That’s because it is NOT a numbers game. It’s not about ❌ Quantity of proposals you send out ❌ How many sponsors you get in front of ❌ How much you ask for It is about whether you offer the RIGHT thing to the RIGHT sponsor. It's about QUALITY. And here’s the deal – your property probably is a high quality property! It’s just that your current strategy isn’t serving you. Which is not your fault. There is simply not a lot of good information out there about getting sponsors. So it’s easy to go in the wrong direction and waste a lot of effort. From the 6th April 2024, the Home Office will remove the requirement to renew a sponsor licence. Any licence which is due to expire on or after this date will no longer need to be renewed. To prepare for this, the Home Office have already extended licence expiry dates on all licences due to expire on or after 6 April 2024 by an additional 10 years. The Home Office have stated that any sponsor licence renewal notices can now be ignored. If you are unsure of your licence expiry date this can be viewed in the 'Licence Summary' function on your Sponsor Management System (SMS). If you have already made an application to renew your licence the Home Office will contact you shortly and arrange to refund your renewal fee. This change is great news for sponsors, the administrative task of renewing the licence will no longer be required and will save £536 for small businesses and £1,476 for those paying the large business fees.
