𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗘𝗨 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲’𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 A decade of investments through the European Regional Development Fund, Cohesion Fund, Just Transition Fund, and #REACTEU has delivered measurable, lasting change where it matters most — in our regions, cities, and communities. ✅ Growth and convergence: The GDP gap between the top and bottom 20% of EU regions has narrowed by 3.5% thanks to cohesion investments. ✅ Resilience and competitiveness: 2.5 million SMEs supported — improving survival rates and revenues. 🚝 Connectivity: 20,500+ km of transport networks built, restored, or upgraded. 🔌 Digital inclusion: 8 million households gained better broadband access. 👶 Education & care: 24 million new early childhood education and care places created. This evaluation package — the largest ever on Cohesion Policy — shows that EU support continues to reduce disparities, strengthen economies, and improve lives. 🔍 The lessons from 2014–2020 and 2021–2027 are already shaping the next generation of EU programmes — keeping Cohesion Policy at the heart of Europe’s sustainable and inclusive growth. New EU call: Public Sector Loan Facility (PSLF)— supporting a just and green transition The European Commission has launched the second call for proposals under the PSLF, part of the Just Transition Mechanism. This EU initiative helps public authorities in regions most affected by the transition to climate neutrality finance investments in clean energy, sustainable transport, social infrastructure, and job creation.
