Austria-Hungary was a last try to save the dying Habsburg Empire. Their income was much smaller than the outlay. The Austrian army could stop a Hungarian revoltuion once, but they were weak in 1849, and (relative) weak in 1914. Hungary didn't like it. Furthermore, Hungary wasn't a nation-state (yes, we lost 2/3 of our territory, but nations rised, not states). The King Matthias or the Maria Theresia ages were good (but during MT the dying progress was going).

Why else would they send archduke Ferdinand to "visit" Sarajevo on 28. june(most important holiday in year for Serbs) and to drive around the city with minimal security? really? serbia wasn't the cause for the war. Serbia was only used as a trigger, every 40+ IQ creature knows that. reasons for ww1 are not in serbia, but in arms race /power race between major european cotuntries...
Serbia itself had little to no role in the starting of WW1, but Serbian terrorists (known as the blackhand)broke an already uneasy peace. The arms race, nationalism, etc, etc also helped start the war but the blackhand literally pulled the first trigger and because these people were Serbian citizens, Austro-Hungary thought it was a Serbian (official) assassination so they attacked. Serbia also did help on the Balkan from against the Ottoman empire which was much more significant than what you would've thought for Serbia's size at the time.

it wasn't the serbs who assasinated the austrian prince it was the Russians and it's because the Austrians were becoming to friendly with serbia and because Russia was allied with serbia they knew if Austria attacked them they could attack Austria so they would no longer have any power in the balkans
Fun fact (Actualy truth) AH was angry on Serbia and they wanted that war but Berlin denied it multiple times. After I Balkan war Serbia Montenegro Greece and Bulgaria were liberated from Ottomans (For sure Serbs were liberated) Bulgary wanted good piece of Macedonia but Serbia got most of it. Then Bulgary backstabbed Serbia and attacked in the night. And yea Bulgary also attacked Greece. That was one mistake and Bulgary was in really bad condition. They lost that war. AH was like "Oh dear friend Bulgary is in trouble let's punish Serbia for that" Berlin: "No". And soo AH annexed Bosnia it created more tension. Soo AH sent arcduke to Sarajevo to visit it. Because they knew something could happen and they gave the driver new route. I mean... they forgot to give it to driver.. so driver used normal route. Gavrilo Princip acutaly ate at that time when car stopped right in front of him. Then Gavrilo killed him. So AH had their reason to start a war so they sent ultimatum that is unacceptable and they knew it. So AH started the war. Thats all knowledge you need to know. FUN FACT: archduke's body guard is guilty for that war.

Serbia, did not start the ww1. You would have to be retarded to claim such a thing. First of all, Serbia, as a country, had nothing to do with the "Black hand". Second, Serbia agreed to all ultimatum points Austro-hungarian empire sent, apart from one. One that would endanger Serbian sovereignty, freedom, which Serbian payed for with their own blood. Then, it was AUSTRO-HUNGARY who started the war. It's basically the same **** as 9/11 and bombing of Baghdad. Hell, it's probably even comparable to the "white plan", where Hitler staged a Polish attack on their check point.
Why did Austro-Hungary did this? It's quite obvious. You degenerates do realize that AH annexed Bosnia (a Serbian land with Serbian people and some Serbs that took islam under centuries of Sharia law kebab tyranny), even though Bosnia was already occupied by the Ottomans. No country in the world objected to this, apart from Serbia. Much like no one in the world objected to Hitler breaking the treaty and attacking Rhineland. Like he annexed Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia. Gaining two key areas. Rhineland as the industrial center to fuel his war machinery, and Sudetenland containing 3 million Germans to man his armies.
So too, did Austro-hungarians, try to colonize others. Do not make this retarded mistake again, retards. The assassination by the freedom-fighter Gavrilo Princip, was not the reason for the war, it was an excuse to start one. AH was a young, industrial country. They had machines, but not the mineral resources. Not like old colonial powers like Britain, Italy and France had. They demanded re-distribution of colonies from them, which was, naturally, refused. So since AH was a giant pussy and couldn't go after the old colonial powers, they set their eyes on the Balkans.
Their plan to colonize Serbia (and Balkan in general) like they did Bosnia, was OBVIOUS even before the war started. I bet non of you retards know that after the Serbs and the Balkan League freed the Europe from muslim Ottomans, Serbia was to gain control over the albanian tribes and gain access to the sea. ustro-Hungary, being a gigantic pussy, knew that this would make Serbs too strong, as they ALREADY PLANNED TO TAKE IT OVER. So they demanded that Serbia release the land THAT THEY FREED WITH THEIR OWN BLOOD, and thus for the first time in history a muslim ****** tribal country of albania was born.
