Little Xs
I picked up Anna Millet from Reflets de Soie last week. I felt that a monochrome project and one with a lot of letters in it would be an inspiring thing to try to get the stitching mojo back. I think that is working out. I have made some progress since last time I touched this

The progress looks smaller than I thought! Oh well. This is on a 46 ct Cedar River linen with Gloriana Florimel in Thistle Green. I plan to make a few touches here and there in gold.
This past weekend I took my son to move him into his college dorm. I did take Anna with me but didn’t have the bandwidth for 46 so I mostly worked on Mary Ellen Turner, which is in 36. I got a good deal done on the plane ride, the whole left border is now complete and more of the verse:
These photos are really dark but you get the idea. These 2 projects will be my main focus for Sampler September.
I also have some smalls lined up to work on…I couldn’t resist a Facebook Blackbird Designs SAL and while I feel it’s too late for the August assignment of ABCs, I have 3 bird projects for the September assignment. It will be hard to choose or maybe I’ll do them all! Seriously though these days there’s no telling what I will do. Stay tuned!
I’m stitching an all black design, it is quite relaxing compared to changing colours all the time. Lovely projects for September, good luck to your son at college.
Thank you Clare!
