RESPIRA ACE CAPSULE is used in the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It can also be used to manage inflammation of the airways (such as bronchitis). It contains Acebrophylline which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-asthmatic agents.
Before taking RESPIRA ACE CAPSULE inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have fits, stomach ulcers, viral infections, hypertension or hyperthyroidism as a precaution. It is not recommended for use in pregnant women. It should be used in breastfeeding women only if it is considered necessary by the physician.
The most common side effects are epigastric pain, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, diarrhea and constipation. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects trouble you.
RESPIRA ACE CAPSULE blocks the release of certain chemicals (such as phosphodiesterase) in the respiratory tract that triggers airway inflammation, swelling and narrowing. As a result, it widens the airways and reduces airway inflammation. It also loosens the mucus accumulated in the airways which allows the air to pass through more freely through the airways and makes breathing easier.
RESPIRA ACE CAPSULE is not recommended for use in pregnant women.
It is not known whether RESPIRA ACE CAPSULE can pass through breast milk. Therefore, it should be used in breastfeeding women only if considered necessary by the physician.
RESPIRA ACE CAPSULE usually does not affect your ability to drive or operate any machinery. However, do not drive or handle any heavy tools or machines if you feel dizzy or drowsy after taking the medicine.
RESPIRA ACE CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney problems. It should be used with caution in patients with other kidney problems.
RESPIRA ACE CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver problems. It should be used with caution in patients with hepatic dysfunction.
Do not take RESPIRA ACE CAPSULE if you are allergic to Acebrophylline or to any other ingredients o this medicine.
RESPIRA ACE CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients suffering from myocardial infarction or arrythmias. It should be used with caution in patients with heart failure or any other heart problems.
RESPIRA ACE CAPSULE is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years).
