World War Z: Aftermath announced
New expansion and next-gen port of zombie action game is planned
Saber Interactive has announced World War Z: Aftermath, a new expansion coming to 2019 zombie shooter World War Z.
Aftermath promises new story episodes across new zombie-ravaged locations around the world: Rome, Vatican City and Russia’s Kamchatka peninsula. Play as both new and returning characters with a new melee system, that offers unique moves, perks and dual-wield weapon options like the sickle and cleaver.
The expansion will also include a new First-Person Mode option. Customize your weapons to survive any challenge, and conquer new daily missions with special modifiers for bonus rewards.
World War Z: Aftermath is coming in 2021 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC alongside backwards compatibility for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at 4K and 60 frames per second. In early 2022, the game will receive further next-gen enhancements, with support for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console features, as well as Horde Mode XL, free and on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
World War Z: Aftermath Deluxe Edition, featuring a bonus weapons pack and weapons skins, will be available for $49.99 ($29.99 for World War Z owners).
