It's Pasture Birthday Card by Zsofia Molnar

Hay There!

Need a late birthday card? This whimsical farm card by Zsofia is perfect for sending belated wishes!

This sweet card features fun farm themed dies from our collection. She starts by cutting and assembling the pieces from the Barn Die Set and the Tractor Die Set. She added inking to the edges to give the pieces a bit more dimension. The barn die set includes hay that you can add onto the loft of the barn. She adds one piece there and then uses the same die to create piles of hay on her scene. What a great idea to add to the farm scene! She completed the scene by adding a fence that was cut out using our Fence Die Set. 

Here are a couple of close-ups so you can see the details. Isn't that blue tractor so fun? We love the pop of color it adds!

Once the scene was completed she needed to add a message. She chose to create a late birthday card by using the sentiments from the Farmer Newton Stamp Set. The clever messages work flawlessly with the farm scene and are perfect for sending a late birthday wish!

Simple Joys of Christmas Card by Zsofia Molnar

Joys of Christmas!

Today we are celebrating the joys of Christmas with Zsofia! She has created a card that is packed with all our favorite Christmas themes!

She started out by pairing the image of the girl holding the giant stack of Christmas gifts from our Christmas Haul Stamp Set with the image of the truck, also filled with Christmas gifts, from our Holiday Haul Stamp Set. These two images with the piles of gifts work so perfectly together! Do you think the girl is unloading the gifts from the back of the truck? She colored both of the images in fun bright holiday colors and cut them out using the coordinating Christmas Haul Die Set and Holiday Haul Die Set. 

Here is a close up so you can see all the beautiful details in her coloring:

For the card , she created a wonderful Christmas scene. She started by creating a snowy sky using our Starfield Stencil with white texture paste over a blue inked background! Next, she layered a series of trees that were stamped in green ink using the bold tree images from our Whispering Pines Stamp Set. These bold trees have a lovely watercolor texture that adds a fun detail. She cut them out using the coordinating Whispering Pines Die Set and layered them in front of her sky. She next layered a fence that was cut out using our Fence Die Set and a hill of snow using our Land Borders Die Set. 

What a gorgeous winter scene! She finished her card with the sentiment from our  Christmas Nap Stamp Set, embossed in white onto a black cardstock rectangle to tie it all together!

A Lovely Fall Slimline Card by Ellen Haxelmans

A Lovely Fall slimline Scene!

Today Ellen has created a beautiful night time Autumn scene on a tall slimline card layout! 

This card features the cozy porch friends from our Fall Friends Stamp Set. She colored this cute duo in neutral tones and added pops of orange on the pumpkins, yellow and teal on the blanket and cushion and purples for the mums to create a colorful fall scene. The image was cut out using our Fall Friends Die Set.

Next she cut out a tall paper for her slimline scene and added dark inks and splatters for the sky. She embellished the sky using the stars, moon and clouds from our Sky Scene Builder Die Set. She added a fence along the bottom using our Fence Die Set and grass and hills using our Land Borders Die Set to complete the scene! So pretty! 

The finishing touch is the sentiment "have a lovely day" which was stamped from our Tulips Stamp Set and cut into small banners that she popped up on the sky with dimensional adhesive dots. She framed the whole long scene using the scallop edged panel from our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set.

Halloween Inspiration Week - Day 2 - Zsofia & Amanda

This week Newton's Nook Designs is getting ready for Halloween with a fun Inspiration week! 

All week the NND Design Team will be sharing inspiration using some of their favorite Halloween products to get you in the mood for tricks and treats! Today we are featuring cute and spooky projects by Amanda Wilcox and Zsofia Molnar.

 Zsofia created a trick-or-treat scene featuring fun halloween dogs and cats on her card!

For this fun scene, Zsofia paired the Kitty and puppies from our Halloween stamp sets. The image of two dogs on the left is from our Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set and the image of the dog and cat stacked on the right is from our Halloween Pile Stamp Set. She embossed the images with black embossing poweder to give them a nice crisp edge and colored them using fun, bright halloween colors. She cut the images out usign the coordinating Happy Howl-oween Die Set and Halloween Pile Die Set.

For the scene on her card she created a blue and purple sky using distress inks. She embossed the sentiment into the sky with white embossing powder and added a little bat too!

She added in a fence that was cut out using our Fence Die Set and a little bit of grass along the bottom using our Land Borders Die Set. The whole scene is framed with a black postage edged frame cut out with our Framework Die Set. 

It's so easy to mix and match the characters from our different Halloween designs! What a fun way to send a Happy Halloween greeting!Halloween products used: Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set, Happy Howl-oween Die Set, Halloween Pile Stamp Set, Halloween Pile Die Set

For the incredible card, Amanda stamped and embossed the big circle image from our Spooky Roundabout Stamp Set multiple times to create a fun background filled with ghosts, pumpkins, and more! Then she inked over the white embossing using distress inks and added some black and white paint splatters to add to the spooky effect! She cut this panel out using our Framework Die Set to give it a fun postage edge. 

For the main image, she stamped and colored the kitty dressed in a bat costume from our Batty Newton Stamp Set. She colored the kitty in neutral gray tones and made the bat wings dusty purple. A bright green collar and pink ears and toes give the image a fun pop of color! She cut the image out using the  coordinating Batty Newton Die Set and layered it over her fun background.  For the sentiment she used "feline batty" from the Batty Newton Stamp Set and embossed it in white onto a black tag cut out using our Framework Die Set.

What a great way to create a custom background to showcase a favorite stamp! We hope you enjoyed this idea today!

This card by Tina is perfect for sending a fun birthday wish to a friend who loves horses! She colored the trio of horses from the Neigh Stamp Set, adding beautiful texture details on the manes! For her card base she used our new A7 Frames & Banners Die Set and added clouds into each open rectangle to set the scene. A fence border completes the fun layout. Detailed product list below.

Zsofia created this adorable Harry Potter inspired card using the owl carrying the letter from our Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. She paired it with a custom sentiment that was created by cutting our letters using our  Essential Alphabet Die Set over a fun blue inked sky background. So adorable! Detailed product list below.

This week Newton's Nook Designs is getting ready for Halloween with a fun Inspiration week!

 Zsofia created a fun framed art piece for Halloween! 

She created an adorable scene featuring the duo of pups from our Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set. She colored the pups in their Halloween costumes layered them in front of a landscape that was created using our Fence Die Set and Land Borders Die Set. She filled the sky with clouds using our Cloudy Sky Stencil and added a few bats using our Halloween Trio Die Set. She added the custom "Happy Halloween" sentiment using our Essential Alphabet Die Set. 

This piece is something that could be used as part of your Halloween decor every year! What a fabulous idea!

 Samantha created a fun Halloween card using jut one stamp set!

For this fun layout she stamped the gravestones from our Count Newton Stamp Set multiple times, coloring them in simple shades of grey. Then she lined them up in a fun grid pattern on her card. She also added bats into the background using a light grey ink. 

The sentiment stamped across the bottom finishes the fun and simple layout!

Gnome Birthday Card by Amanda Wilcox

Birthday Gnome!

If you're like me, you never have enough birthday cards on hand! Today we are featuring a fun gnome themed birthday by Amanda that would be super fun to add into your birthday card stash! 

For this adorable card, Amanda features the gnome holding a flower from our Gnome Garden Stamp Set. She colored the gnome, along with some extra butterflies and a ladybug and cut the images out using the coordinating  Gnome Garden Die Set. Next she stamped and colored the big bouquet of daffodils from our Daffodils Stamp Set. These pretty blooms look so fun and big when paired with that cute little gnome! She cut the daffodils out with the coordinating Daffodils Die Set.

To make these images into a scene she used some of our favorite die sets. She created a fun blue sky panel using our Frames & Flags Die Set. Then she added grass and a fence using our Land Borders Die Set and Fence Die Set. If you look closely, you can see subtle clouds in the sky that was added on using our Clouds Stencil. A dark blue scalloped edge frames the scene and was also cut out with our Frames & Flags Die Set. The finishing touch is the birthday sentiment from our Gnome Garden Stamp Set, added into the sky.

Life's Better in the Garden Card by Samantha VanArnhem

A Garden full of Sunflowers!

Sunflowers are the perfect way to brighten someone's day! This Samantha is perfect for doing just that! She features a cute little garden of sunflowers stamped using our Sunflower Days Stamp Set. She colored them in gorgeous bright colors and used the coordinating Sunflower Days Die Set to cut out the image. 

To create her garden scene, she created a cute little brown hill using the scalloped edge die from our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. Then she added a bit of white fence behind it using our Fence Die Set. Behind this, she added clouds to the card base using blue ink with our Clouds Stencil. 

For the finishing details she added a butterfly in the sky and the sentiment underneath, both from our Gnome Garden Stamp Set. 

This card is sure to send a smile!

Heartfelt Wishes for Mother's Day Card by Zsofia Molnar

   

Heartfelt Mother's Day Wishes!

Today we are sharing a lovely Mother's Day card by Zsofia. For this beautiful floral card she used our new Bleeding Heart Stamp Set and colored the lovely image with heart shaped flowers twice. She also stamped the single bloom multiple times to add extra flowers to her card. She used the coordinating Bleeding Heart Die Set to cut out all of the images and then added them to her card front in a pretty row. She also added a fun fence border behind the flowers using our Fence Die Set and a layer of grass in front of them using our Land Borders Die Set. The sentiment "heartfelt wishes" was created using words from the  Bleeding Heart Stamp Set. 

Then, to make this into a Mother's Day card, she added the sentiment "Happy Mother's Day" from our Mom & Dad Stamp Set. This sentiment was stamped onto a fun pink banner that was die cut out with our Banner Trio Die Set.
