Candy Corn Card by Amanda Wilcox

Time for Candy Corn!

If you like candy corn you are going to love this yummy candy filled card by Amanda featuring our Candy Corn Newton Stamp Set and our Candy Corn Stencil Set. 

For her main image she stamped and colored the adorable kitty wearing the Halloween costume from the Candy Corn Newton Stamp Set. She cut the image out with the coordinating Candy Corn Newton Die Set. She then created a spooky night scene using several die sets. She started by cutting out the stitched rectangle using our Frames & Flags Die Set. She then cut out some black grass with our Land Borders Die Set. For the sky she cut out clouds, stars and a moon using our Spooky Sky Die Set. She assembled all the pieces together, adding a little bit of distress ink onto the yellow moon and the edges of the rectangle. 

To create the candy corn background she used our  Candy Corn Stencil Set. This stencil has three pieces that you can line up easily to create the three different colors. Amanda inked her layers over black cardstock. On the dark cardstock the colors become desaturated and it makes a great spooky or night time look! 

After everything was assembled she added the sentiment from the Candy Corn Newton Stamp Set, stamping it onto a small oval that was cut out with our  Oval Frames Die Set.

We love this fun and spooky night scene! Perfect for Halloween!

Create a Scene with Die Cuts!

Have you ever created a scene using die cuts? Today we are sharing a card by Ellen has created using several of our favorite die sets to inspire you!

Ellen started by die cutting the stitched rectangle using our Basic Frames Die Set. This will be the panel for her scene. She inks up the panel in blue distress inks and adds a bit of splatter to make it into a night sky. Next, she cuts a piece for the ground using our Land Borders Die Set, inking it up with shades of brown and adding lots of splatter for texture. 

Once she has her setting in place, she adds a stack of books to the center of the scene using the book images that come with our Bookmark II Die Set. She uses our Forest Scene Builder Die Set to add the trees, leaves and the little bird that is perched on the books. The stars in the sky were die cut using our Sky Scene Builder Die Set. Then she adds a dog using our Dog Silhouettes Die Set and a speech bubble using our Dog Silhouettes Die Set. Inside the speech bubble she embossed a message from our Puppy's Reading List Stamp Set. This sentiment works perfectly with the theme of the card! So fun! To finish the scene she frames it with a yellow zig zag edged frame, die cut using our Frames & Tags Die Set.

Happy Easter Card with Peeps by Zsofia Molnar

Easter Kitties & Peeps!

Today Zsofia has created a fun Easter card filled with easter peeps and kitties! 

She started out by stamping the adorable images of Newton and the chicks from our Newton's Peeps Stamp Set. She also stamped some extra chicks and little flowers using the same set. She colored all the images using a fun spring color palette filled with yellow, green and orange. The images were all cut out using the coordinating  Newton's Peeps Die Set. She created a little scene for the kitties by cutting out a mint green rectangle using our Framework Die Set and adding a layer of grass using our Land Borders Die Set. Then she tucked all the images around the grass. Isn't it cute how the kitty is peeking out from behind it!? She also added the sentiment, stamped onto a bubble that was cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set. So cute!

For her card, she started with a white card base and added a fun layer of pattern, created using our Basketweave Stencil in brown ink over a light brown paper. She cut this panel out using the postage stamp edged die from our Framework Die Set and layered it behind her scene. That basket pattern really adds to the fun Easter theme!

From Meow to You!

Today Ellen has created a kitty themed card that is perfect for spring!

This card features that cute kitty popping out of the box from our Newton's Gift Stamp Set. This fun design features a blank tag on the front of the gift box, making it easy to customize the image for any occasion! Although many of the sentiments are holiday themed, Ellen choose "from MEOW to you" and colored the image in spring colors for this card today!

She framed the image of the kitty with two layers of circles that were cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set. For the scalloped circle she used a pretty plaid print from our Love & Chocolate Paper Pad and for the stitched circle she added blue ink blending and tiny blue hearts using our Petite Hearts Stencil. She also added grass using our Land Borders Die Set and the frog and insects from our Newton's Rainy Day Stamp Set and Newton's Blooms Stamp Set to set the scene.  Then she layered everything over a green background, stenciled with tiny paw prints using our Petite Paw Prints Stencil. So cute!

A Very Merry Cat Christmas Card by Zsofia Molnar

A Very Merry Kitty Christmas!!

Today Zsofia has created a fun cat themed holiday card featuring images from two of our favorite cat themed holiday stamp sets together!

She started out by stamping the cat wearing a winter scarf from our Newton's Holiday Mischief Stamp Set and the kitty peeking from behind the snowman from our Newton's Curious Christmas Stamp Set. She colored the kitties in neutral colors and added pops of oranges, teals and greens to the winter accessories! She cut both images out using the coordinating Newton's Holiday Mischief Die Set and Newton's Curious Christmas Die Set.

Here are a couple of close ups so you can see her lovely coloring:

Since both of the images have a winter theme, she created a winter holiday scene for her card.  She filled the background with trees using our Evergreens Stencil with green ink and then layered sparkly snow on top using our Petite Snow Stencil with glittery texture paste. So pretty! She added a snowy hill shape along the bottom of her card, cutting it out using our Land Borders Die Set. Then she layered the images of the kitties on top of the snowy hill to complete the scene. For the sentiment she cut out a red ticket shape using our Framework Die Set and added the phrase "Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas," stamped from our Bells & Holly Stamp Set and embossed in white.

Joyful Tidings Card by Jennifer Jackson

Joyful Winter Tidings! 

Hello! Jen here today and I'm sharing a beautiful winter scene that I created with some of my favorite winter products! 

To create this card I started by stamping the silhouette of the ice skating couple from our Winter Memories Stamp Set in black. I cut the image out using the coordinating Winter Memories Die Set. I also cut out the an icy shape to put below them from vellum using the Winter Memories Die Set. 

For my card, I created a winter scene for the skaters. I used our Land Borders Die Set to create a couple layers of snowy hills in the foreground. To create the trees and sky, I used our Christmas Tree Line Stencil to create the trees and trunks using the stencil with brown and green inks over a piece of light blue cardstock. Next, I used our Petite Snow Stencil with some white texture paste to add a bit of falling snow over the pines. So lovely! I assembled all the pieces together and gave the whole scene a postage shaped edge using our Framework Die Set. Then, I added the sentiment "joyful tidings" from our Winter Memories Stamp Set onto the snowy area in front. 

I love how this turned out! This lovely card would work perfectly for a Christmas greeting or just a fun winter hello! 

Magic of Christmas Card by Donna Idlet

Sharing some Christmas Magic!

Each week, it's getting closer to the holiday season and today Donna has created a card to get us all into the spirit!

For this wonderfully nostalgic and wintery scene, she started by stamping the images from the Holiday Home Stamp Set. Once they were colored beautifully, the images were die cut out with the coordinating Holiday Home Die Set. She also added some white puffy texture to the hood of the red jacket and trim of the hat!

Next, she created the background by ink blending some greens with the Evergreen Stencil.  She also added some more snow texture to the whole scene with some white splatters on everything. The snowy hill was die cut with the Land Borders Die Set and some beautiful white glitter paper.

We love the magical feeling of this card!

Apple-solutely Wonderful!

Today Ellen has created an adorable apple themed card that is sure to make you smile!

This fun card features our new Autumn Apples Stamp Set, Fall Harvest Stamp Set along with the baking kitty from our Newton's Kitchen Stamp Set and the baking accessories from our Made from Scratch Stamp Set! What a fun combo of images! 

For the card base, she uses our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set to create the frames on the card. Scroll down for a few details from Ellen! 

Here are some tips from Ellen on how she created this adorable card:

• (Left photo above): I started by cutting the card base, folding it and stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder (using a heat tool and Versamark ink)
  
  
• (center photo above): Next I die cut a few elements from the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set. The inside rectangles I die cut twice. Then I colored the first batch in a yellow orange. From the second batch of rectangles I cut them into hills using the Land Borders Die Set.
  
  
•  (right photo above): Next I did color all the illustrations from the Autumn Apples Stamp Set, Fall Harvest Stamp Set, Newton's Kitchen Stamp Set and Made from Scratch Stamp Set with my Copic markers.

Make Lemonade Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Lemonade, please!

Today we are featuring a delicious lemonade themed card by Ellen!

This fun card features our Jar Hot Foil Plate along with juicy lemons from our Lemon Twist Stamp Set. 

To create the jar part of the card Ellen used our Jar Hot Foil Plate and die. She used the hot foil plate to add silver foil onto a heat resistant transparency sheet. She then used the die from the set to cut out the shaker window from a blue inked background. She filled the jar shaker with lots of sequins and sparkle! 

Next, she stamped and colored the lemon pieces from our Lemon Twist Stamp Set. She colored them with alcohol markers, adding fun dotted details. She cut the lemons out using the coordinating Lemon Twist Die Set and arranged them around the jar. She also added a bit of sand along the bottom using our Land Borders Die Set to cut the curved edge. The whole thing is framed with a yellow scalloped edged panel that was cut out using our  Frames & Flags Die Set.  Last, she added the sentiment, embossed on white onto a yellow banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set.

Ellen decorated an envelope to match too! She used our Trailing Leaves Stencil to stencil yellow leaves onto the envelope flap and added the sentiment from the Lemon Twist Stamp Set. So fun!

Feline Frosty Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Feline Frosty!

Is it hot where you live today? Cool off with this snowy card by Ellen!

This fun card features the trio of kitties playing in the snow from our Newton's Snowman Stamp Set. She colored the image with alcohol markers and added tons of amazing details with dots and strips on the kitties fur. She cut the image out using the coordinating Newton's Snowman Die Set. 

For the scene she created an inky sky with distress inks and then cut the panel out using our Frames & Flags Die Set to give it a scalloped edge. She added black birch trees on each side using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set and snow across the card bottom using layers of white cut out with our Sea Borders Die Set and Land Borders Die Set. A few snowflakes in the sky were stamped on vellum to finish the fun snowy scene and she used our Speech Bubbles Die Set to hold the message "Feline frosty."

Bright Birthday Mouse Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Happy Birthday Mouse!

Today Ellen has created an adorable mouse themed birthday card!

This fun card features the mouse with the gifts and cheese above his head from our Birthday Mice Stamp Set. So cute! She colored the image, adding fun little speckles to the mouse for texture and cut the image out using the coordinating Birthday Mice Die Set. She also adds bits of candy using our Newton's Candy Cane Stamp Se. See below for full color breakdown and details on how to create this adorable scene!  

She also used our brand new Bright Sentiments Hot Foil Plates and our Banner Duo Die Set to create the lovely shiny birthday message in the banner! What a gorgeous bit of sparkle! 

Here are some tips from Ellen on how to create this adorable card:

• (Left photo above): First I die cut the largest frame of the Frames & Flags Die Set and used the Clouds Stencil to create a pretty background. I start inking the panel at the bottom (tip: start blending of the edge of the stencil for the best results and a smoother blend). Once you have inked the first cloud, move the stencil up and start inking again and keep repeating this until you have filled the panel.
  
  
• (center photo above): Here you can see I die cut the largest frame again and then cut it again using the Land Borders Die Set. Next I inked it so it looks like sand. Later I die cut 3 clouds with the Sky Scene Builder Die Set. I also foiled the sentiment with the new Bright Sentiments Hot Foil Plates!
  Turn on your hot foil machine and let it warm up. Lay your hot foil plate on the machine and trim your foil a little bigger than your hot foil plate. When the green button of the machine turns on, place the foil pretty side down on top of the plate. Than you place your cardstock on top. As the last step you place the shim and acrylic plate on top of the cardstock. After pressing the timer button, the light slowly will stop blinking, now you can roll the sandwich through a die cutting machine.
  
  
•  (right photo above): Here I colored the images. I used the Birthday Mice Stamp Set and Birthday Mice Die Set & Newton's Candy Cane Stamp Set for the candies.

Happy Hello Card by Maria Russell

A Happy Hello!

Today we are PAW-sing to share a happy greeting by Maria! 

This sweet creation combines our new Birdhouse Greetings Stamp Set with the adorable kitten from our Smitten Kitten Stamp Set. She stamped and colored both the images with alcohol markers, adding little dot patterns to the kitties fur and white gel pen accents to both images to give them beautiful details! She cut the images out with the coordinating Birdhouse Greetings Die Set and Smitten Kitten Die Set. Here's a close up so you can see the gorgeous coloring:

For the card background she ink blended the sky using distress inks in several colors and then added white and colored paint splatters for a fun bit of texture. The sentiment from the Smitten Kitten Stamp Set was stamped into the sky and is purr-fect for wishing someone a happy day! The finishing element to scene is an edge of grass that was cut out using our Land Borders Die Set from some green flocked paper for another bit of texture! So amazing!

Gnome Birthday Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

 

Gnome Birthday Wishes!

Today Tatiana is sharing a gnome themed birthday card that is pretty in pink! 

For this sweet birthday scene she starts with the gnomes from our Gnome Garden Stamp Set. She stamps two gnomes along with some butterflies, flowers and a ladybug from the stamp set and colors them using alcohol markers in pretty shades of pink, green and blue. She adds a few white gel pen accents and cuts the images out using the coordinating Gnome Garden Die Set.

Next, she creates a scene for all of her images. She inks a sky in pale pink and then adds layers of circles using our two piece Bokeh Stencil Set in light pinks and then adds raindrops in dark pink using our Raindrops Stencil. Isn't it cool how the two stencils look layered together! What a fun sky!

For the bottom of the scene she cuts out two hills using our Land Borders Die Set and inks the edges with a bright lime green ink. Then she assembles the scene together, adding in the gnomes and all the flowers and butterflies. She adds the sentiment into the sky from the Gnome Garden Stamp Set and adds a little strip of pink striped paper on the right, cut from our Springtime Paper Pad.
