One in a MELON!

Today we are getting ready for summer fun with this watermelon themed card by Donna! 

To create the watermelon theme, she starts with the adorable image of newton eating a watermelon from our  Newton's Melon Stamp Set. She colored the image and added some glossy details to the watermelon seeds. The image was cut out using our Newton's Melon Die Set. She layered the image over a circle, cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set and stamped the sentiment below the kitty. 

Next, she chose papers from our Summertime Paper Pad to coordinate. The watermelon print is a PURR-fect match! She also chose stripes in green and pink and used all three patterns to cover her card base.

Isn't it fun when you find products that coordinate perfectly together? We love this idea almost as much as we love watermelon!

Hello Summer Card by Amanda Wilcox

Hello Summer!

Although we we are just finally enjoying spring weather here at NND Headquarters, today we are looking ahead to summer with this gorgeous card by Amanda! That kitty eating the watermelon from our Newton's Melon Stamp Set is so cute and we absolutely love the way she colored the image! The spots on the kitty are so fun and it's really cool how she added glossy accents to the watermelon seeds! This image was cut out using the coordinating Newton's Melon Die Set. 

For the fun tropical background, Amanda used our Tropical Fringe Stamp Set. she colored that fun square image in bright colors and then used the Frames Squared Die Set to cut it out with a scalloped edge. She also cut a piece of vellum using the same shape and layered it over the top to soften the colors! This really makes the kitty image pop! She also added the sentiment "hello summer" from the Tropical Fringe Stamp Set, stamped onto the circle that was die cut using the circle that's included in the Frames Squared Die Set. 

For the card base, she added a bit more summer fun by stenciling a water background using our Waves Stencil. This is the perfect finishing touch for this tropical theme!

One in a Melon Card by Larissa Heskett

One in a Melon!!

Today we have a duo of melon themed projects by Larissa that will make you smile! She was inspired to create a fun melon background after seeing this watermelon project on instagram by kaydemonbren8. Kay had used our Raindrops Stencil over a pink background to make a watermelon pattern.  On her project Larissa used our Tumbling Hearts Stencil to create a fun watermelon background pattern where the seeds are black hearts over a pink inked background! She then added a stripe of green sparkle to represent the watermelon rind! So cute!


She used this background pattern on two projects along with the image of the bear eating a watermelon from our Woodland Picnic Stamp Set. She cut the bears out using the coordinating
Woodland Picnic Die Set so that she could layer them over the background. The finishing touch was the sentiment "You're one in a melon" from the Newton's Melon Stamp Set.

And here is the same pattern used on a tag for a little gift! She also used our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set to cut out the tag shape:

Andrea created this gorgeous lemon card using the lemons from our Lemon Twist Stamp Set! She colored them with gorgeous no line coloring and layered them over a scalloped panel that was cut out using our Framework Die Set. The amazing plaid background was created using our  Plaid Stencil Set. So gorgeous!

Samantha created a charming flock of seagulls on this fun summer card using our new Gull Friends Stamp Set. She layered waves around them that were created using our Waves Stencil. What a fabulous water scene!

Larissa created this adorable treat bag featuring the shrimp holding cocktails from our Shrimp Cocktails Stamp Set. She layered the cute shrimp onto a shape cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set. What an adorable way to dress up a small treat or gift. This would be perfect for a summer party!

Newton is enjoying some watermelon on this sweet summer card by Amanda! She used the image of the kitty and melon from our new Newton's Melon Stamp Set, adding adorable stripes tot he coloring on the kitty! Then she layered the kitty over a fun argyle background that was created using our Argyle Stencil Set. She also used our Framework Die Set for the scallop and Postage edged layers. 

Holly created this fun and bright summer card using the images of lemons from our  Lemon Twist Stamp Set! She did some fun loose watercoloring on the images and layered them over a fun cloudy background that was created using our new Clouds Stencil (revealed here on Monday's post). The bright yellow dots in the background were created using our  Bokeh Stencil Set. 

Ellen created this charming square card featuring the little shrimp holding cocktails from our Shrimp Cocktails Stamp Set. She layered them over a fun distress inked background and added on the "cheers" die cut from our  Cocktail Mixer Die Set. The square layers of the card were created using dies from our Frames Squared Die Set.

Hey, Gull Friend! This beautiful sea scene was created by Maria featuring the duo of seagulls from our new Gull Friends Stamp Set. She created a sunny sky for them using our Sunscape Stencil to complete this cheerful scene

Tatiana created this stunning lemon card! She used the images from our new L Lemon Twist Stamp Set and overlapped them to create this amazing card. She colored the images in gorgeous bright colors with colored pencils. The images were so pretty she kept the rest of the card simple, adding sentiments on top and bottom with black ink. 

Newton is so cute enjoying a slice of watermelon on this card by Naki! She created this fun summer card featuring the image of the kitty from our Newton's Melon Stamp Set. Then she used our Sunscape Stencil behind the image. Isn't it fun how all the sun rays direct your eye right to that cute kitty!?
