Thirty years later the Yellow Kid was created by Richard Outcault this comic was seen as one of the first comic books to be made only simply because Richard was the first to use the balloon which was an outline where the words a character said where written. Background of the Hulk The Hulk was first introduced to us on May 1962 Written by Stan lee and Penslier Jack Kirby. The influences of the Hulk were mixtures of Frankenstein and Dr Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Stan lee at first Just wanted the Hulk to be a loveable monster that was just missed understood that is were the Frankenstein roll came to play. Stan lee also wanted the Hulk to have a double identity which the Hulk went from a man to a monster and that is were Dr Jekyll & Mr. Hydes roll came into relation with the Hulks history. How did Bruce Banner become the Hulk? In the Incredible Hulk issue One Bruce Banner was testing a Gamma bomb he made for the military base he worked for which was in the command of general Ross, and was the father of Betty Ross. During the countdown Banner spots a teenager named Rick Jones that had snuck onto the testing area. Banner then asks his assistant to pause the countdown while he goes and gets the boy to safety. Igor Banners assistant does not pause the Countdown because Igor was a spy trying to steal the ideas of the Gamma Bomb and also does not like Banner, so the countdown continues. Then BOOM the gamma radiation explodes in Banners face. After the gamma incident Banner starts to feel sick which leads to his transformation into the Hulk for the very first time this happened during the night. The Incredible Hulk title did get canceled after only six issues, but the Hulk did go on to appear on other titles such as the Fantastic Four and the Avengers. Other interesting facts about the Hulk are that he was in fact at one point gray. Stan Lee wanted gray because he didnt want anyone to suggest that he was from any particular ethnic group. Later on Stan Goldberg also known as Stan Lee changed the color of Hulk from gray to green. We all know that the modern hulk from today turns into the green monster when he gets mad, but fact is that in earlier comics he would only turn into the Hulk at Night like some sort of werewolf. At one point the Hulk was

able to talk in complete sentences they later shifted him to make him more of a savage. That is why the modern Hulk that we all know of today does not talk and is Green. The Hulk would later on appear on other comics and movie such as the Hulk, The incredible Hulk, and the Avengers Stan Lee Background Stan Lee the Superhero genius at first never thought of being a creator of superheroes he wanted to be an actor at first. Stan Lee was raised during the great depression. During Stan Lees childhood he got a job because of his father he would frequently be out of work. Even though Stan was in School he would still have mid time jobs. When he was 16 he was working in the second biggest company of pants then he found employment in the Rivoli theatre in Time square, New York. He later comes into the Comic making business by accident when he found out there was a job opening in Magazine management. There Joe Simons and Jack Kirby owners of Tein comics wanted Stan to work with them. When Stan began to work in the company he would work more with Joe Simons whom was the writer and editor of comic books. This is how Stan came into the business of comic books. Stan was 18 when working in the company his first hero was Captain America. Stan at one point came to work for the army/Government. After the Second World War Stan got married to Joan Lee who came from England and came as a war wife she than became a hat model. They both moved together and lived in Long Island in an Apartment he had in the 96th and Madison. At that time Stan was working in the empire state building. Fact about Stan lee is that he did not draw the characters but simply put into their Mouth what they would say but he was a co-creator of the heroes. These are some ways Stan came into the Marvel industries.

Comic Review In my opinion this comic book about the Hulk was interesting. I really liked how it started from the very beginning and shows you how Bruce Banner became the hulk. The beginning of the book was suspenseful because when Banner was going out to save Rick Jones the teenage boy. I really didnt know what was going to happen to Banner when he went out there to the testing area. Also because in the book you find out that Bruces assistant is a spy trying to steal Bruces gamma files so you really get to thinking what he will do to Banner which I think builds suspense. I feel that the book really gave me a lot of information on the Hulk. Like for example it showed me that Hulk was once grey also how he came to become the grey beast. It also informs you that Bruce would only turn into Hulk at night time. Mostly I really like how Hulk is able to talk its a nice incorporation to the comic also that he thinks he is the strongest thing on earth. Overall this piece is really well written the chronological order of this comic book is well done. They really did a good job keeping the book in order and not making it confusing at all. I really understood the comic book itself. This is a kind of comic book that I wouldnt really have a problem reading the rest of the sequel. They did a good job keeping their first issue interesting and make me want to read more of them so yes this book was good in my opinion I really enjoyed reading it and recommended who ever likes this character they should think of giving this comic a shot they will like it hopefully as much as I did. Interesting
