Guava

Guava is a rich source of vitamin C and lycopene, providing more than three times the daily recommended intake of vitamin C in a 100g serving and nearly twice the amount of lycopene as tomatoes. The thick rind contains even higher levels of vitamin C than the pulp. Research suggests that the lycopene in pink guavas protects skin from UV damage and reduces prostate cancer risk.

Guava

Guava-fruit is an excellent source of antioxidant vitamin-C. 100 g fresh fruit provides 228 mg of this vitamin, more than three times the DRI (dailyrecommended intake). Outer thick rind contains exceptionally higher levels of vitamin C than central pulp. 100 g of pink guava fruit provides 5204 g of lycopene, nearly twice the amount that in tomatoes. (100 g tomato contains 2573 g of lycopene). Studies suggest that lycopene in pink guavas prevents skin damage from UV rays and offers protection from prostate cancer.
