Teressa Wagner Letter of Reference
Teressa Wagner Letter of Reference
November 22, 2011 To Whom It May Concern: I am pleased to write this letter on behalf of Mandi Fulton, an education student at Otterbein University in early childhood education. I have known Mandi as a student teacher, as she is currently completing her student teaching in first grade. As the cooperating teacher, I can always count on Mandi to positively contribute to class lessons, R.T.I. meetings, parent conferences and staff meetings. Her personality lends itself well to not only being the participator, but also the listener in discussions and meetings. This trait will serve her well as an educator. Mandis lessons are always well done. She puts obvious thought and a great deal of preparation into her lessons. Thinking about her participation across the semester, I think it is important to note how her thoughts and work have developed. Mandi is currently teaching first grade in a self contained classroom. She is very conscientious to plan lessons that are student-centered and interactive, taking into account the students prior knowledge and pre-assessing their content levels. Through her experiences in and out of class, I saw Mandis questions and challenges become more focused and profound, leading me to believe she is nicely progressing in her education program and ready to teach in her own classroom. I am impressed with Mandis desire to build her ideas and work through the process of developing the perfect lessons for diverse students, implementing behavioral charts, tailoring lessons for gifted reading students and preparing meaningful lessons for I.E.P. students. As we know, this type of multi-tasking and organization is imperative for an educator. In summary, Mandi Fulton has had a variety of experiences as an education student, and she has excelled and done an excellent job not only in her schooling and student teaching, but also in many other areas of her life. I recommend Mandi for teaching in an early childhood classroom and I would be willing to discuss Mandis work in more detail if you would like; my contact information is listed below. Respectfully,
