Looking back at the preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the

full product? Camera work

When looking back at my preliminary task I can see that I had very little knowledge about how to use the camera. We used very basic shots and most of them were not executed in the correct way. For example here we can see that the framing of this shot was very off. The excess space around the subject of the shot should not have been there. However when you look at our opening sequence the framing of our shots are effective and correct. I feel this is something that I have developed on. We also learnt about the 180 rule when looking at the preliminary task.
This is the rule that the camera must stay on one side of the two people in the shot. This is so that the audience do not get confused with where the actors are standing. I feel this rule was well achieved when creating the preliminary task.

As well as this we looked at shot reverse shot. Here is an example where we used it in our preliminary task.

W e di dnt then go and use this shot in our

opening sequence as we only used one actor. However I feel that I had a good knowledge on this technique from the beginning.

Editing
Looking at the editing of our preliminary task I can see that my knowledge of adobe premier was very limited. I knew basic terminology such us match on action. This was shown here: The editing here was basic yet I feel that even though I had little knowledge of editing we had a good idea of how to achieve match on action. This skill has then been developed since to make it better in out opening sequence.

Sound
Even though the task set was to only use diegetic sounds, I feel that the positioning of our camera had an affect on the way the sounds came out. This skill was not used in our opening sequence however we used voice-overs. This meant we had to make sure the positioning of the people we used had to be in the right place so that we had an effective use of voice over.

Mise-en-scene
The use of mise-en-scene in our preliminary task was not successful, as we didnt think about the area we used. However we were limited with the space we could use. This has been highly developed since then as the use of mise-en-scene in our opening sequence was very successful and it created the attended atmosphere. For example this shot has created a good atmosphere to set the scene.
