Classification
STATUTE
Statutes are enacted by the legislature. They are
actually the bills submitted to Congress for
consideration and approval. (Suarez)

An act of the legislature as an organized body,
expressed in the form, and passed according to the
procedure, require to constitute it as part of the law
of the land. (Agpalo, 2009)
Statutes are passed by the Philippine Commission,
the Philippine Legislature, the Batasang Pambansa,
and the Congress of the Philippines.
STATUTE LAW

Refers to those rules enunciated and declared by
competent authorities for the governance of the
community. (Santos)
Rules and regulations promulgated by competent
authorities, enactment of legislative bodies (national
or local) or they may be rules of administrative
(department or bureaus) or judicial agencies.
Statute law is the law itself, the intent of each
provision, and the words used in the law. (Santos-Ong)
