Production Log Week 2

Week 2 of pre-production involved script writing. Scripts are essential to documentaries as they provide a clear plan for visuals and dialogue. Production log week 2

Week 2 of my pre -production stage we did script writing, we will need scripts because it gives me
a clear indication in what is happening in my production in terms of visuals and dialogue. Script
writing is essential in completing a good documentary and it is also one of the main points that were
set out by our teacher at the begging of the production stage.

Lesson 1
The first lesson was mostly theory because it was the first week we had stared script writing. Our
teacher talked us through the different types of script for example what makes a good script and
what makes a bad one. Then he showed us an example of a good script resulting a great
documentary which an example of someone’s the year before. After that he showed us example of
scripts what goes init and what goes were.

Lesson 2
Lesson 2 we got started straight on our scripts because we all knew what we were supposed to do.
This lesson I spent more time just looking over the example scripts and learning a bit more about
what makes a good script. Then I got started on my script and started to produce the begging.

Lesson 3
The third lesson was pretty much straight forward when I came in a straight away started to
continue with my script. But I was still using the example script as a guideline each time I wrote
something new in my script.

Lesson 4
In this lesson all I did was make the finishing touches to my script and I add a couple
of things and also took out a few things to make it up to standard.
