The document provides examples of calculating average speed, velocity, and distance using various data points involving dolphins, snails, swimming, and athletes. It includes calculations such as a dolphin traveling at 16 m/s, a snail moving 24 cm in 3 minutes or 1,440 cm total, and an athlete running 1500 meters in 15 minutes at a speed of 1.7241 m/s or 6.2069 km/h. The document uses the formula for average speed of distance divided by time to solve multiple physics problems involving motion.

Remember
1. The formula is
where
2. Velocity is the change in position divided by the time taken. This includes the direction of
the motion as well as the speed.

Using Data
1. Average speeds:
a. 3200/(3*60+20)=16m/s
b. (2.5*1000)/(3*60)=13.8889m/s
c. 2/(3/60)=40km/h
d. 16/0.5=32km/h
e. (1500/1000)/(15/60)=6km/h
f. (2*100)/4=50cm/s
2. The dolphin would win?
3.
a. 900/5=180 hours
b. 180/10*24=432 hours
c. 900*1000/1.5/60/60=166.6667 hours
4. Eh snail
a. 8*3=24cm
b. 8*3*60=1,440cm
5. Eh swimming
a. 100/66=1.5152m/s
b. 50/34=1.4706m/s due north
c. 0m/s
6. Eh athlete
a. 1500/870=1.7241m/s
b. (1500/1000)/(870/60/60)=6.2069km/h
