Entertainment Contract

Summer Camp Music Festival May 21-24, 2015


Three Sisters Park Chillicothe, Illinois
Summer Camp Music Festival, hereinafter referred to as Festival, produced by Jay
Goldberg Events and Entertainment and Jam Productions, LTD, hereinafter referred
to as Promoter. This is a 4-day music festival in its fourteenth year. In the interest
of producing a first-class event, the following terms shall be attached to and
replace any and all riders which apply to contracts with Artists performing at the
festival:
Event
Summer Camp Music Festival is an annual camping event put on by Jay Goldberg
Events & Entertainment that brings music fans together from all over to celebrate
music, self-expression, and making a difference in a loving family environment.
This event will host 110 bands on 8 different stages over Memorial Day weekend.
Our goal is to promote awareness and giving back in a fun and exciting
environment with amazing bands each year. We have grown to over 25,000
attendees in the past 15 years but still hold that small family festival feel.
Artist Billing
Artist agrees to allow use of name, logo, image, photo and related property owned
by artist for all promotional purposes, including the official Summer Camp 2015
merchandise that will be sold at the event
Marketing
Artist agrees to post a Summer Camp 2015 banner on their website and social
media to help them promote their appearance at the festival. Artist also agrees to
send announcements for Summer Camp to its e-mail list, including one Summer
Camp dedicated e-mail blast.
Recording
Artist also agrees to audio/video recording of their set as a part of any festival
promotion or broadcast. Artist will retain rights to any recording and festival may
not use recordings for any product that will be sold to the public without artists
prior written approval.
Merchandise
Artist agrees to allow use of name, logo, image, photo and related property owned
by artist for all promotional purposes, including the official Summer Camp 2015
Music Festival merchandise that will be sold at the event and after. Merchandise is
80/20 split with house selling and keeping sales tax. Artist will be allowed to sell 1
style of t-shirt, 1 misc. item (sticker, hat etc.) and 1 CD.

Sound, Stage & Lighting


Venue will provide staging, sound and lighting systems. We will work with all Artists
to meet the needs of their performance, and will provide detailed specs of our
system, upon request.
Backline
The venue will not provide any backline unless approved in writing. The venue will
provide limited loadin/out stagehands to assist with set changes.
Sound check
All performances will be given a thirty (30) minute sound check prior to their
performance. Artists are responsible to check the time of their sound check and
arrive accordingly. If the artist does not show up for their sound check time they
will not be given another one.
Payment
Artist will be paid balance due upon completion of the agree-upon performance(s),
or at an agreed-upon time during the performance.
Hospitality
Festival will provide trailers or tent space in backstage area for use as dressing
rooms. General hospitality will be provided in the dressing room or tent behind the
stage. If you have specific needs, please notify hospitality coordinator in advance
and we will do our best to accommodate. Promoter will provide one (1) meal per
performer per show. Hours of availability may be limited so Artist should check
availability upon arrival. Promoter will provide basic backstage festival hospitality
including soft drinks, fruit, snacks, tea and coffee.
Lodging and Transportation
All lodging and transportation needs should be arranged in advanced with the
transportation coordinator. We are happy to help with coordinating your hotel
reservations for you. If ground transportation is provided as a part of your agreed
contract, it will be provided in the Peoria area only.
Weather
Summer Camp 2015 will take place rain or shine and asks that the artist play rain
or shine. Unless the performances are cancelled due to weather by the
stage/production manager at the festival, all performances will proceed as
scheduled.
Liability
Promoter shall not be responsible for any injuries to any person caused by any
projectile from the stage or any other area of the venue by any band member or its
crew. PURCHASER shall also not be responsible for any loss or claim arising out of
negligence on part of the artist or artists crew.
Date/ Performance Times
Promoter holds the right to change the dates and performance times per advance
with ARTIST

Security
Promoter will provide an adequate security for festival. All festival workers will be
required to have credentials to access various areas. We require that all artists
wear Summer Camp Music Festival issued wristbands & laminates at all times
during the festival. Law enforcement officers are on-site and available upon
request throughout the event.
Radius Clause
Artist agrees not to play another festival date within a 350 mile radius of
Chillicothe Illinois or a Chicago hard ticket date 60 days prior to or 60 days
following event. Artist agrees not to play another camping music festival in Illinois
for 120 days following event. Artist agrees not to let name be advertised as a part
of a festival in the Illinois, St. Louis, Indianapolis or Quad City Markets 60 days prior
to the event. If after artist has been confirmed and advertised as a part of Summer
Camp artist is advertised for any date which would violate these provisions artist
agrees to, at Purchasers option, either cancel the Summer Camp date with full
refund of deposit or play the Summer Camp date with a 50% reduction to the
agreed upon guarantee.
