The Berenstain Bears' New Neighbors
The Berenstain Bears' and the New
Neighbors is a book that teaches children to be
accepting and inclusive of those who may
appear different. Stan & Jan Berenstain captivate
readers with excitement of new neighbors

What are senses?
Place the sense organs correctly and pull tab
to learn more about senses.
Our senses are the physical means by which all living things see, hear,
smell, taste, and touch. Each sense collects informaton about the world
and detects changes within the body. Both people and animals get all of
their knowledge from their senses, and that is why our senses are so
important.

During this project, I learned that as a future educator time management is
key when using the SMART Board technology within the classroom. While
creating activities and pages, I realized that it took time to organize my
thoughts and put together my ideas for students to learn from the curriculum.
However, from this gained experience, I can use this in my future classroom
and implement this skill to engage students.
Learning SMART Notebook layout and design helped me to see into a
different teaching style I would have never thought of using in a classroom.
The visuals and the many activity builders within the software encouraged my
learning skills because i was able to learn while developing my author study
presentation. I observed that this software is a great tool for educators to use.
I strongly believe that with the tech savvy generation, this tool will be
successful, fun and engaging for students; I am truly appreciative of the
opportunity in learning how to play around with the SMART Board and how I am
slowly becoming a SMARTIE!!
