Form: the 12th form
Type of the lesson: Introducing new contents (vocabulary, reading, speaking, and listening).
Competences: 1. Communicative and pragmatic competence- oral messages producing and their interacting
2. Communicative competence:-perception of the written/spoken messages
Subcompetences:-1. Identification of the basic information from the oral message
2. Identification of the message general meaning, main idea expressing in one sentence.
3. General and specific information selecting to accomplish the given task.
Objectives:
O1-to make a warm connection with students;
O2- to define the word "consumerism from separated words;
O3-to debate the idea consumerism is ..."
O4-to talk in the proposed theme using the information of the survey and videos;
O5-to provide a 1 min speech using the new vocabulary;
Time: 45 minutes
Materials: copy-books, felt-tip pens, papers, cards, pictures, note-book, CD, computer.

Motivation
Pupils study about the benefits and
disadvantages of consumerism in their life.

Recognize the words and word combinations
related to the topic. Have the potential to make
up sentences and expressions. Analyze the
given texts and phrases.

If there are items that have already been mentioned,

1.Consumerism is to buy things you dont need with
the money you dont have to impress people you
dont like.
2.Consumerism- the theory that an increasing
consumption of goods is economically desirable.
3.Consumerism is the movement seeking to protect
and inform consumers by requiring such packaging
and advertising, product guarantees, and improved
safety standards.
Since we start learning about consumerism, we have
some specific vocabulary and now well study it. Be
attentive, listen to the word and the definition and be
ready to match them and use in your speech.
