Definition
a form of government in which sovereignty is actually
nominally embodied in one or several individuals reigning
until death or abdication.

Monarch:
a sovereign head or state especially a king, Queen or
Emperor
There are two different types of Monarchy that have been
practiced
Types
Constitutional Monarchy:
the monarchy acts as head of state
Also as known as parliamentary Monarchy or limited
Monarchy.
The monarch does not have the ability to pass legislation
Power is restrained by parliament, law or custom.
Stay the same as governors change
Absolute Monarchy:
The monarch has absolute power among his or her people.
Also known as absolutism.
Ruled by one person.

Advantages-Constitutional
The king or queen represents a historical authority.
Serves nation in history.
They have not to elect new person for a new term which
reduce a heavy amount of expenditures in election.
They know they are not for a term period so they have not
lust of money or misuse their authority so there are
minimum chances for corruption.
Peoples has much respect for them than an elected person
as he or she is for a term only.
Disadvantages-Constitutional
A single person rules in a state for a long time (mostly
for lifetime) so peoples have no chance to remove him if
he or she is not functioning properly or according to the
will of people.
When a person knows that is an authority for life time
he/she does not take any tension to work for the
betterment of peoples as he/she knows that they are not
answerable to anyone.
A huge amount of money spends on king/queen and their
family for nothing.
Advantages-Absolute
Law process is simpler
Issues can be managed
faster
Stronger army
No disagreements in
government
Judges governors and other
officials carry out
governmental jobs
Enlightened monarch can do
much good for the people.
Disadvantages-Absolute
orthodox or incompetent
monarchs lead country to
downfalls
power causes corruption
and tyranny
People have no say in the
running of the country
inequality of wealth
Connections with animal farm
Constitutional monarchy does not relate strongly to
to animal farm as the head doesnt have unlimited
power
Absolute is very similar as the monarch is like
Napoleon who has complete power over the others
Also the power is passed down through the family as
in Animal Farm the pigs will always have power
The citizens have to do as the monarch instructs as
the animals have to do as the pigs instruct
All orders were now issued through Squealer or one of
the other pigs (59)
Propaganda
The Queen should attend all important
events
Britain wouldnt be Britain without the
Monarchy
Elizabeth II is on the currency
without monarchy britain loses its
identity
more than just posters the internet and
magazines
responsibility of the spin doctors to
make sure that the propaganda about the
royal family remain positive
