This document discusses composting and its objectives. It explains that composting is a natural process that recycles organic materials like leaves and vegetable scraps into a nutrient-rich soil amendment. The objectives are to understand the "5 R's" of environmentalism, how composting improves soil, and how to make and use compost. It provides steps for making compost, including choosing a space, adding scraps to a hole, covering it with a black bag, and removing the compost periodically for better results.
