Toyota Production System
Abstract
Explains 5-S, the acronym for five Japanese words: seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu and shitsuke
which, when translated, mean organization, neatness, cleanliness, standardization and
discipline respectively. They have been referred to as the five keys to a total quality
environment. Our repot will introduces the 5-S principles and shows how they can be applied to
enhance team performance by using TPS to achieve Organizational objectives. Through this the
implementation of a formal 5-S system in organizations to facilitate employee participation for
the generation of ideas. This system helps an organization to produce consistently good quality
products and services.
Toyota production system was developed & promoted by TMC.
The main purpose of TPS is to eliminate waste through continuous improvement
activities.

Quality control , Quality assurance , Respect for humanity
And by completing the audit of this system we will be able to apply all the concepts we will be
studying in our operations management class under your guidance. And to facilitate our need
for operations audit we will be arranging a trip to Indus motor company and we will try to gain
firsthand experience of the business environment and complete implementation of the Toyota
production system in IMC
