Social Networking
is Ironical in it’s name because it
doesn’t bring people closer but creates big gaps in
relationships with people who really matter the most in
our life Parents and Family. Spending lumps of time
sitting in front of computer screen is not going to get
you friends but living with them sharing happiness and
spreading the joy does that. Facebook, Twitter etc.
are good but not better!
There are many side-effects of staying stuck to social
networking websites like Facebook, Twitter etc.
Face book should be used constructively but not like
elixir without which you can’t survive. Addiction to
anything is bad, Face book is addictive.
Face book is a new age addiction that thanks to user-
friendly interfaces and the spread of technology
globally, has managed to work its way into the lives of
grandparents and grandchildren alike. It seems like the
whole world is cast under the spell of the ever
intoxicating rush of information that is Face book.
Everyone from presidents to paupers can have a
presence on the social networking site, and nearly
everyone does.
Facebook is genius if only for the successful duping of
millions of people into signing up for spam while
simultaneously downloading software to combat the
same problem.
Facebook can bridge the distance between friends and
family that are strung out across the globe, and make it
easy for businesses to target niche markets but it also
propagates the need to be ever careful of the
information that can be attached to your name in
cyberspace. You should be careful that your online
reputation does not jeopardize your real world image.
Facebook is not the right place to seek new friends that
could be there for you when you need them, yes it
develops connection but not the one which we need,
therefore communication with real people who live in
your locality, study at coaching and work in following
cubicles in much more important.
Leaving living God’s biggest gift for internet is not at all
a good idea or decision. I think we should limit access
to Face book rather than saying that stop Face book or
“never ever use it”.
Yeah i know that Face book has privacy setting but
when hackers can get your account password in a
moment how long do you think it would take them to
break security? What if… by fate your name spoils on
the web for something you have no idea about, it
sounds crazy but you never know.
I have no right to tell you what to do and what not to do,
i can just say… as a friend that Social
Networking Websites are great, Face book is ultimate
and Twitter is like your virtual world but excess of
everything is bad! Don’t use SNS like mad men!
I remember a time when i was playing more than 17
social games including Farmville and update my status
even at 4 in the morning.
Life is to live; there are thousands of things waiting for
us in the real world.
I find it depressing that I'm able to go an entire day,
days if I truly wanted to, without having an actual
conversation with people. And I'm not talking about
sitting alone in my room, locked away from the
public, but I could keep up with everybody I know
for an extended period of time without even
needing to see them. Social networking Web sites
and text messaging make things more convenient,
but they are detrimental to society.
I'm ashamed to say that I'm on Facebook several
times a day. I hate the site, honestly. I don't even
really do anything. I just get bored and end up
there. There are some 16,000-plus students on this
campus, and the vast majority have a Facebook
account. How many times a day do we end up
logging on, updating and otherwise perusing our
classmate's and friend's Facebook updates?
I don't need to make a phone call to see what my
friends back home are doing, I just need to look at
their Facebook, Twitter or MySpace pages. I go
weeks without talking to my best friends and
apparently don't miss anything at all.
The vast majority of people who are friends with me
via Facebook are people I haven't spoken to in
forever, like high school classmates and
acquaintances from parties I will never see again.
Take away the people I don't care about and I'm left
with maybe two dozen or so friends that I see
regularly and don't need to see their Facebook
profile to stay updated.
What does this amount to? A lot of wasted time on
a social networking Web site. Facebook is meant to
be used to make friends and stay updated, and I
use it to do neither. Has anyone ever actually made
a friend from Facebook? Imagine if somebody were
to friend you, start sending you messages, and
then just ask to start hanging out. I don't know
about you, but I'd be a bit creeped out.
The need to network may become a hindrance to
your job performance as well. Think that picture of
you with a beer in one hand and a joint in the other
is pretty cool? Well, the guy who just conducted
your interview didn't think it displayed an attitude
appropriate for the job. Many people don't expect
their potential employers to do personal research
on them and get caught with their pants down
(sometimes literally) through a Facebook page.
