Facebook (FB) currently is the largest social network in the world compare to other
social networking like Friendster and MySpace. Mark Zuckerberg is the founder of
the Facebook and the current CEO of the Facebook organization. In the three
management skill which are the conceptual skill, human skill and technical skill which
are most critical adapt to Mark Zuckerberg is conceptual skill. Conceptual skill is the
cognitive ability to see the organization as a whole system and the relationships

Conceptual Skills are now extremely important to all manager roles it is because a
manager must plan and take control the whole organization in order to obtain a high
expectation of overall achievement. While in the research there is an interview of
Mark Zuckerberg between the conversations he stated, “You need to focus on a few
things you care about. Moving fast. You need to give up some things you need to do
that. I think a really big part of a CEO’s job. You hire the team that’s going to go build
everything. You set up the direction. What really comes off is what trade-offs you’re
going to make.” [ CITATION Kim09 \l 1033 ] Mark Zuckerberg form the
organization with the conceptual skill is not easy as we thought. Having this
management skill in the organization is a heavy burden to a manager, because
manager has to take responsible of all departments in a particular organization.
Mark Zuckerberg is also known as a natural CEO and a visionary business leader. He
can visualize his organization in the future and set a goal for it. In addition, Mark
Zuckerberg has brought Facebook to everyone for their own freedom and pushing
his product the social network to the worldwide. Mark Zuckerberg is also thinking on
a broad, long-term scale about the service of the Facebook that people around the
world need it in the future.
In the Facebook organization Mark Zuckerberg play in a multiple role. He does not
have a specific role to play on. He is the CEO of the Facebook therefore his
responsibility is for setting the overall direction and product strategy for the
company. He leads the design of Facebook's service and development of its core
technology and infrastructure. In addition, Mark Zuckerberg is in all three category of
the manager role, which are informational, interpersonal and Decisional.
Monitor role is under informational category. Mark Zuckerberg involve in seeking
current information from many resource. Just like he studied in Harvard University
for computer science and create a new social network. Next manager role is leader;
it is under categories as interpersonal. He is also involve in encompasses relationship
with his team in Facebook including motivate, communication and influence in a way
to make the organization to a better work place for his subordinates. Last but not
least, he is an entrepreneur in the category of decisional. He creates a new idea on
Facebook to improve the features that Facebook can collaborate with many other
website. Besides, he also make a change for the future, because we can find useful in
Facebook like helping business man to set up their network business, emails function
and any other features that attracts the world wide.
