Setting : The setting took place somewhere in communist China, Seventeen years ago

Characters : The characters are the narator Isabelle kao, her grandmother, her mother, and a younger sister Victoria . The narrator called her mother as the traditional dad her grandmother as the traditional mom

Conflict: The conflict lies on the two traditional culture of two family. A traditional Chinese culture and American culture. The family were Seperated from their father because of different ideas and practices. The Chinese family stuck to their own culture and lived as they raised by their grandma and mom.

PLOT DIAGRAM

Exposition : The story told happened Somewhere in communist China, where a family of four lived in their own traditional Chinese Culture. The family was raised by grandma who stood as the traditional mom a mother who stood as dad for the two children, Isabelle kao the narrator and younger sister, Victoria. The two children grew up without a father.

Rising Action : despite of the absence of their father, they were raised up with wisdom and a support of a strong sovereign. Though the children were expose to the new trend and modern way of living, they were never given a chance to do and follow these. Because it was againts there Chinese culture

Climax : Despite of the strict and old fashion Chinese manner, the children did not regret, because they felt the guidance wisdom support and mostly the unending love of their grandmother and mom as a family.

Resolution : a happy family does not have a typical father, amother a brother and sister material things in life but rather it needs good moral, values guidance and love.

Theme : the story was described as a family of network of the four chicas the tribe of the three generations and the clan of grandmas children which means that their family survived with Responsibility care, guidance and LOVE of family
