Thomson Financial is a leading provider of information and technology solutions to the global
financial community.

The Senior Financial Analyst develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial
planning, analysis and control. This individual will be part of team responsible for providing rapid
and high-quality information and insights to the Content Operations Group management team.
The individual will also liaise with various sub-groups providing specialized reporting, analyses,
and support.

Ideal candidates for this position will have Big 4 experience, a Bachelor's degree, and 4-6 years
experience.

The incumbent of this position:

-Assists in the consolidation and the reporting process of the plan and forecast.
-Performs financial analysis function.
- Ensure that financial information is presented clearly, consistently and on time

- Investigate and understand key business issues behind the numbers, and provide clear,
concise, and timely analyses and recommendations. Identify risks and opportunities in
financial projections

- Identify and implement ongoing improvements to the financial planning and analysis
function – processes, systems and reports

- Works with technology such as Hyperion, Peoplesoft and the MS-Office suite of tools to
document and deliver information.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting, MBA is preferred
- 4-6 years of experience in finance or accounting with experience in planning forecasting and or
financial reporting
- Candidates must be detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skill is required
- Must be able to interact with all levels of management
- Complex global business experience required
- Candidates must be proficient with MS Office Suite, especially with MS Excel
- Experience with Peoplesoft and/or Hyperion Essbase is required
