GENERAL ETHICAL STANDARDS AND PROCEDURES

Responsibility to develop ethical awareness and
sensitivity, and to be as self-correcting as possible
Misuse of Works
Correct or minimize the effects of such misuse and misinterpretation
Conflicts between Ethics and Law, Regulations or other Governing Legal Authority
Resolve conflict, but if conflict cannot be resolved by any such means, practitioners must adhere
to the law, rules and regulations of the governing legal authority.
Conflicts between Ethics and Organizational Demands
Practitioner shall endeavor to make this Code of Ethics known to the organization. Psychology
practitioners shall declare their commitment and adherence to this Code when resolving the
conflicts.
RESOLVING
Action and Ethical Violations
If an action is likely to cause harm to a person or organization, psychology practitioners shall
take further action to report such violation to the appropriate institutional authorities ETHICAL ISSUES
Complaints against any Psychology practitioner may be lodged with the
Board and the Comission

Cooperating with the Ethics Committee
Practitioners shall cooperate with the ethics investigation and proceedings conducted by the
Board and or the Psychological Association/s to which they belong.
Improper Complaints
Psychology practitioners shall refrain from filling baseless, frivolous or malicious ethical
complaints
Unfair Discrimination Against Complainants and Respondents
Psychology practitioners shall not discriminate against complainants and respondents in any
ethical complaint.
