PEC Conference in Collaboration with World

Technology Universities Network


26th February 2019, PEC HQ Islamabad

Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under PEC Act and CPD-Byelaws, is earnestly
working for the quality of engineering education and regulating engineering profession in
the country. PEC in collaboration with World Technology Universities Network, UK is
holding a conference on role of engineering and technology research and quality
education towards impact and value in society. The global network of technology
universities is committed to undertaking cutting-edge and challenge-led research with
direct benefit to people and society while providing quality education for the next
generation. The member countries are committed to work together to promote better
understanding of the role and the characteristics of technology education.
The leading foreign and local speakers would share their experiences and ideas towards
quality engineering and technology education while Vice Chancellors from leading
engineering universities would also participate. The conference would cover the following
topics;
 International Perspectives of Accreditation of Engineering and Technology
Programs - Engr Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid (S.I.)
 Role of Engineering and Technology Universities in Research and Quality
Education: Creating Impact and Value in Society - Professor Brain Cantor,
Vice Chancellor Bradford University, UK
The outcome of the conference would be better understanding of research and
technology education and also enabling collaboration among the world technology
universities.
The conference will be held on 26th February 2019 at PEC Headquarters Islamabad
(1000 to 1300 hours) whereas the Video-Link facility would be extended through
designated universities and PEC Regional Offices (Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and
Quetta). The PEC registered engineers and engineering students (final semester) may
attend this free conference based on pre-registration upto 21st February 2019 through
PEC website (WTUN.pec.org.pk) and also attending the event which is a CPD activity
carrying 0.5 CPD point.
