The Date PDF

This document provides guidelines for saying and writing years, dates, and months in British English and American English. In British English, years are typically said by separating them into decades, such as "nineteen eighty-five" for 1985. Dates are written with the day first, followed by the month and year, and said with the day followed by "of" and the month and year. In American English, dates are written with the month first, followed by the day and year, and said with the month followed by the day and year. Numbers are commonly used instead of writing out the full month name.
