1. This assignment contains only ONE (1) question that is set in both Malay and English. / Tugasan ini

3. Learners are to submit assignment only in MsWord format unless specified otherwise. Please refrain
from converting text/phrases into picture format such as .gif/ .jpeg/print screen / etc. / Anda
dikehendaki menyerahkan tugasan dalam format MsWord melainkan dinyatakan sebaliknya. Anda tidak
dibenarkan untuk menukar teks/frasa tugasan tersebut kepada format grafik seperti.jpeg / .gif / print
screen / dan lain-lain format berkaitan.

4. Download the language version of the assignment template concerned from the myINSPIRE for
preparation and submission of your assignment. Your assignment should be typed using 12 point Times
New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing. / Muat turunkan templat tugasan versi bahasa yang berkenaan
daripada myINSPIRE untuk penyediaan dan penyerahan tugasan anda. Tugasan anda hendaklah ditaip
dengan menggunakan saiz fon 12 Times New Roman dan langkau baris 1.5.

5. Your assignment should be between 2500 to 3000 words excluding references. Do not copy the
assignment question and instructions to your answer. Only assignment answer developed within the
approximate word limit will be assessed. The number of words should be shown at the end of your

 ASSIGNMENT 1

PURPOSE

The purpose of this assignment is to develop learner’s ability to write a problem statement based
on actual facts and figures and to determine the research questions and objectives based on the
problem statement and research topic.

REQUIREMENT

The first stage of research is to identify problems or issues in business and management and to
justify the need for research. To this end, you are required to choose a research topic in a field of
study that is of interest to you. Then, you need to identify, define and develop the problem
statement related to the chosen topic. To ensure that the problem that you have identified exists
and it is significant, you need to provide actual facts and figures to support it. You are also
required to determine the research questions and objectives suitable to the research problem.
Finally, you must explain why it is important to do the research. To do this assignment succesfully,
you need to refer to at least EIGHT published articles in the chosen field using APA format for in-
text citations and references.

TUJUAN

Tujuan tugasan ini adalah untuk membangunkan keupayaan pelajar menulis pernyataan masalah
berdasarkan fakta dan angka sebenar dan menentukan persoalan kajian serta objektif-objektif kajian
berdasarkan pernyataan masalah dan topik penyelidikan tersebut.

KEPERLUAN

Peringkat pertama penyelidikan adalah untuk mengenal pasti masalah atau isu-isu dalam perniagaan
dan pengurusan dan memberi justifikasi mengapa penyelidikan tersebut perlu dilaksanakan. Untuk
tujuan ini, anda dikehendaki memilih satu topik penyelidikan dalam sesuatu bidang pengajian yang
anda minati. Selepas itu, anda perlu mengenalpasti dan mendefinisi pernyataan masalah yang
berkaitan dengan topik yang dipilih. Bagi memastikan masalah yang telah dikenal pasti adalah wujud
dan signifikan, anda perlu menyediakan fakta-fakta dan angka-angka sebenar untuk menyokongnya.
Anda juga dikehendaki menetapkan persoalan kajian dan objektif-objektif yang bersesuaian dengan
masalah penyelidikan tersebut. Akhir sekali anda harus menerangkan mengapa penyelidikan
tersebut penting untuk dilaksanakan. Untuk menjayakan tugasan ini, anda dikehendaki merujuk
kepada sekurang-kurangnya LAPAN artikel yang telah diterbitkan dalam bidang yang anda pilih
