JSC “Atomenergoproekt” NPP “Kudankulam” ROLKN34.0.0.K2.TT.WDOO2 9 PENETRATING MEMBRANE CEMENT-POLYMER WATERPROOFING 9.1 General provisions Penetrating membrane waterproofing is designed for waterproofing, improving water resistance and durability of reinforced concrete underground structures, active drainage system sumps, pools, tank structures and floors of eable ducts with water-based fire suppression systems. ‘Waterproof coating is applied on clean concrete surface with thickness up to 2 mm. If feasible, the waterproofing material can be added into the conerete mix while it is prepared 9.2 Technical requirements 9.2.1 Penetrating membrane waterproofing of Kalmatron type (Kalmatron company ~ St. Petersburg), Maxseal Super (Drizoro Company), Starmex Seal (Gidrozo Company), Penctron (Omega group) SPEKTRON Penetrating W20, Taikor WP (TechnoNICOL,) ete. Increase of water resistance grade of treated concrete by at least 3 points as compared to the initial water resistance grade of concrete B30, WS before and after treatment as per GOST 12730.5-84. Corrosion resistance, pH fiom 3 to 10 as per GOST 27677-88. Heat resistance at a temperature of +60°C within 5 hours ~ the surface of the sample shall be free from blisters as per GOST 26589-94 (except for reinforced concrete structures of the sealed volume of the reactor building). “Heat resistance at a temperature of +90°C within 5 hours — the surface of the sample shall be free from blisters as per GOST 26589-94 (for internal reinforced concrete structures of the sealed volume of the reactor building), Resistance of treated concrete to gamma-radiation with a dose of 3000 Mrad as per GOST 2767-88 by comparing properties before and after exposure to radiation (only for internal reinforced concrete structures exposed to radiation) This requirement does not apply to waterproofing of underground structures and facilities which are not exposed to radiation impact. ‘The Supplicr shall guarantee compliance of the material to these requirements provided that the Customer observes the requirements for transportation, storage and the Supplier's instructions for the use of the material 9.3 Quality eontrol and materials acceptance 9.3.1 Manutacture, testing, preservation, packaging, marking, acceptance and transportation of materials shall be in accordance with a quality assurance program, developed by the Manufacturer or Supplier, taking into account the Customer's requirements. ‘The quality of the materials shall comply with the requirements of technical specifications or instructions for use of the materials and these technical requirements. ‘Acceptance of the materials shall be carried out in batches. Hach batch shall be ‘manufactured according to the same manufacturing procedure and from the same components. ‘The test methods used shall comply with the requirements specified in item 9.2 of the standards and the Manufacturer's or Suppliers’ specifications as regards the requirements for: ~ testing facilities; — measuring tools; ~ instruments; — test preparation and performance procedure; — result interpretation procedure, T7-AS5/96700 = 62018 1 u JISC “Atomenergoprockt” NPP “Kudankulam” ROIKK34.0.0.K2.11-WD002 ‘Testing facilities, measurement tools and instruments arc appointed by a laboratory conducting tests taking into account the requirements specified in item 9.2. ‘The following types of inspections shall be performed in the course of manufacturing and acceptance of the materials: — incoming inspection; ~ in-process inspections; acceptance inspections in the following scope and sequence: 1) inspeetion and testing; 2) completeness verification; 3) inspection of markings, preservation and packaging, The waterproofing materials are subject to preliminary and acceptance tests at the Manufacturer's facility Information confirming acceptance of the materials shall be included in the data sheet, ‘The manufacturer shall bear in mind that the waterproofing materials are subject to an incoming inspection and the detected defects shall be eliminated by the Manufacturer. 9.4 Requirements for packaging, transportation and storage 9.4.1 The Supplier shall deliver waterproofing materials as « complete set, including technical documentation. The requirements for packaging, transportation and storage shall comply with the specifications of the Manufacturer and take into account climatic impacts. Warehousing and storage is provided by the Customer in accordance with the Manufacturer's requirements. 9.5 Instructions for use 9.5.1 The waterproofing coating is applied to concrete surfaces in accordance with the working drawings and taking into account the Supplier's or Manufacturer's insteuetions for use of the materials “The coatings are applied on vertical and horizontal concrete surf Prior to application of the coatings, the surfaces shall be prepared, cleaned from debris, dirt and dust in accordance with the requirements of the Supplier or Manufacturer on the use of the materials, “The surfaces prepared for application of the coatings shall be accepted by the Customer's quality control personnel. In the course of the works, it is nevessary to control the quality of coating application. ‘After application of the coatings, it is necessary to ensure that they are properly treated and protected against atmospheric precipitation and mechanical damage in accordance with the ‘Supplier’s or Manufacturer’s instructions on the use of the material 9.6 Quality contro! and acceptance of waterproofing works 9.6.1 The Customer's quality control personnel carries out the following at the construction site: — incoming inspection of supplicd materials; — inspection of storage conditions: ~ quality inspection of waterproofing works; — works safety monitoring; — environmental safety monitoring; acceptance of intermediate works in application of waterproofing coating = acceptance of completed waterproofing works In the course of the works, the quality control personnel shall perform: = quality control of eonerete surfaces; 77-455196700 = 06.2018 n 25 JSC “Atomenergoproekt” NPP ‘Kudankutem™ OLRK34.0.0K2IT DOO — in-process inspections of mastic application, ‘Quality control and acceptance of completed works shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of technical specifications or the Supplier’s instructions on the use of materials. The Supplier's or Manufacturer's technical specifications and instructions for use of the materials shall contain safety requirements, including fire safety and environmental protection, requirements. ‘The impact on the environment shall not exceed the values regulatory documents of the Customer. pecified in the effective 77-435/96700 06.2018 265
