To Whom It May Concern:

I am interested in applying for a teaching position within your school district. I


will be graduating from Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in
Elementary Education, May of 2019. I believe my experiences with children; in
and out of the classroom, and my passion for teaching make me an ideal
candidate for a position at your school.

Throughout my field experiences, I have been within a plethora of classrooms


and worked with many different students. I completed my Level III experience in
a 2nd grade classroom at Howard Elementary School. Working with lower level
elementary students taught me about the importance of organization and giving
directions clearly and concisely. I am currently student teaching/long term
substituting in a 5th grade classroom at Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary in De
Smet. This experience has helped me grow as an educator in many ways. I have
grown in responsibility, learned to build meaningful relationships with students,
and improved my overall work ethic.
