FIRE CURTAIN DESCENDING
1 Window Fire Curtains, preventing the spread of fire to
higher floors and any nearby building structures. A more cost
effective way of fire resistance in lieu of expensive Fire Glass.
2 Multiple Fire Curtains, covers openings of up to
54 metres wide. No need for fire rated walls allowing freedom
and space with the building design.
3 Vertical Fire/Smoke Curtain, controls the spread of
fire & contains the leakage of smoke.
4 Shop Front Fire Curtain, offering fire resistance
replacing fire doors, fire glass & alternative to roller shutters.
5 Reservoir & Channelling Smoke Curtain, guides
SMOKE CURTAIN DESCENDING the smoke in a determined area direction so gases direct
upwards, maintaining the smoke temperature enabling the smoke to
rise rapidly. Reservoir smoke curtains descend to a pre determined
height so that the smoke accumulates within the reservoir & then
exhausted by the building extraction system.
Channelling smoke curtains are used to channel the smoke &
prevent the smoke from moving laterally around the atrium.
The smoke is channelled into the ceiling area where it is safely
exhausted by the building extraction system.
6 Void Edge Curtains, stops smoke from low level from
spreading and contains the smoke in the immediate area.

OPERATION
Under normal conditions the curtain is retracted in the head box and is held in position by the electronics contained within a remote enclosure
mounted on the motor end of the box. The bottom bar will be resting against the under side of the box or below the box if a stopping bar is installed,
the stopping will then rest against the box.
In the event of a fire condition or operation of the test key switch the group control panel removes the power to the curtain motors. The curtain de-
scends in a controlled manner under the power of gravity and stops in the lower position when all the fabric is unwound from the roller. When the
signal is reset the group control panel re connects the power to the motors which will retract the curtains to the up position.

• Synchronized motor control circuitry, variable speed control is not required
• Back EMF controlled speed of descent, separate brake units are not required
• 24 v operation
• Control panels can control up to 6 curtain rollers
• Battery low voltage cut off facility, the curtains descend in a controlled manner.
GROUP CONTROL
SINGLE CURTAIN DOUBLE CURTAIN MULTIPLE CURTAIN
TWO STAGE DECENT FACILITY
The above panels include two timers which when set
allow the smoke/fire curtain to be halted during
descent. The curtain will descend for the preset
run time and will then be stopped by the operation of
the integral brake unit on the roller mechanism.
When the chosen delay time has elapsed the brake
unit will be de-energized and the curtain will AUDIBLE/VISUAL
continue on its descent. STAGE 1 WARNING (OPTION) STAGE 2
PART CLOSE FULLY CLOSED
Both timers commence operation simultaneously,
(TIME DELAY)
either upon receipt of a fire signal or if the GCP is
placed in test mode. The run timer should be set to
the time required for the curtain to descend to its
delay position. The delay timer should be set to the
required period of delay plus the run time. E.g. The
curtain is to descend for a time of 10
seconds and then hold at this position for
15 seconds.
1) Set Run Timer to 10 seconds
2) Set Delay Timer to 10 secs + 15 secs = 25 secs
The curtain will retract as normal.
