ATTRIBUTES

As an extremely social person, I enjoy meeting people and making new friendships. I am
currently attending Southern Utah University to major in communications. I was involved in
many extracurricular activities at my high school, church and in my community. I am at my best
when I am helping others. I am a goal setter with high expectations and standards for myself and
my future.

EXPERIENCE
UTBS( Utah Behavior Services) Behavior technician (oct 2018- current) (as of march 1st I
am now a registered behavior technician) :
I work at Utah Behavior Services as a behavior technician. So I help kids, 18 or younger,
who have any sort of autism, cope with their disabilities. The main goal of UTBS is to help kids
reach their full potential. At work I work one on one with a client so that they can get all the
attention they need out of that session.
Family Nanny (2018):
During the summer I nannied for a family with 3 kids, Eli 6, Evan 4, and Elena 1. Each
week, 3 or 4 days a week, I would drive out to their house and watch their kids until a parent was
home. It varied from 5 hours to 10 hours. The parents gave me free range with the kids, so a lot of
the time I would drive the kids over to the Washington Recreation Center to swim, I would also
take them to parks and Mcdonalds frequently.

Special Needs Mutual (2017-2018):

This is a program through my church that offers companionship to the mentally disabled.
I volunteer weekly and spend time with my “buddy” Mel. We do many different one-on-one
activities and I help facilitate group activities with Mel. Not only have a made a new best friend,
but through special needs mutual, I have learned how to be a more kind and compassionate
person, how to be more understanding of others needs, and how to be a more patient person. It
has also helped me increase my team building skills.

St. George Youth City Council (2016-2018):

I held the position of Communications Director of the Executive Council. Youth City
Council or YCC is a non- profit organization run through the St. George City, that selects
applicants that they feel will help get the city and youth involved and that will have the ability to
carry out tasks that projects will require. YCC meets at least once a week where we discussed and
implement service projects. Through the council I have had the opportunity to attend Locals
Officials Day. This is a event that is held at the Utah state capitol where we get to learn a little
about how the politics of the state work. We also ran the mock Committee hearing that addressed
the issue of mandatory drug testing. YCC has taught me how to be a leader, how to get the city
involved, and all the steps it takes to get a project completed.

Desert Hills High School Speech and Debate Team (2015-2018):

On the debate team I had participated in many different events such as: Lincoln Douglas
Debate (LD), Impromptu (IMP), Extemporaneous Debate (extemp), and Policy Debate. As a
junior I continually placed in the top three in IMP and Policy. Each event helped me in a different
way, but all of the events have helped me with public speaking. Through debate I have learned
how to properly represent myself when I speak and how to organize my thoughts to create
speeches in minimal time.

NHS( National Honors Society) (2015-2018):

Through NHS I have had to maintain a 3.75+ GPA along with acquiring a minimum of
40 service hours. But I like to push myself, so in 2017 I recorded 216 service hours for NHS.
NHS has helped me to maintain my goal of high standards with my grades as well as serving
others.

ESL (English as a Second Language) Program (2015):

This was a program during the summer that helped teach Korean students the English
language. During the summer I volunteered for this program every day for about a month. I was
able to interact with the students and help them learn english. The program taught me how to get
students involved in schooling and teach it in a way they could relate to it.
