Title : RELATIONSHIP ANTENATAL CARE WITH THE INCIDENCE OF
HIGH RISK PREGNANCY IN PUBLIK HEALTH CENTER OF
PEMBINA PALEMBANG PERIOD 1 JANUARY-31 DECEMBER 2016

The period of pregnancy begins from conception until the birth of the fetus. It is thought that
15% of pregnancies will have a high risk state and obstetric complications, which can endanger
the life of the mother and fetus if not handled adequately so that early detection can be done by
screening by performing antenatal care regularly to places that have the ability and legal aspects
may do practices include: obstetrician, midwife, private practice midwife, public health center
and hospital. This research aims to determine the relationship antenatal care with the incidence
of high risk pregnancy. The type of this research is observational analytic cross sectional design
using secondary data from medical record data of third trimester pregnant women at public
health center of pembina palembang period 1 january – 31 december 2016. There were 90 people
from total sampel. The sample of this research is taken by simple random sampling. . Data were
analyzed by chi square test. The result of this research are as much as 41,1% of respondents had
high risk pregnancy, and as many as 33,3% of respondents had antenatal examintationless than
four times. In bivariate results obtained p = 0.00 and odds ratio = 20,00 was showed a significant
relationship between antenatal care with the incidence of high risk pregnancy.
